DVDs for the TROOPS??

Well, I couldn't find any info (or a thread) on this... so forgive me if I overlooked something.

So, how is this going? How much have we raised so far?

I think it's a great idea, just curious about the progress.

I was thinking of the DVD for the troops idea and at the same time scanning the old discussions reading about the original efforts to save the show. Seems there was a letter/postcard campaign that didn't really have much effect.

Instead of a letter writing campaign to get another network to resurect the series, how bout a DVD Box Set campaign.

Take a likely network, UPN for example.

Then have all the Browncoats out there bundle up our used boxed sets and send them to UPN with a note requesting they pick up the series.

Then we all buy new DVD sets for our collections, drastically increasing sales and creating a demand.

Letter writing campaigns are pretty tired. But truckloads of DVD sets, now that might make an impression. I don't think its ever been tried and that might be just what our movement needs.

Just a thought...

Well, people would be more likely to donate money for DVDs for the Troops, than to mail thier personal DVD sets to a studio (who would probably trash them).
