I only discovered the 'verse about 6 months ago, and never saw the BDM on the big screen. Although I've watched it numerous times on DVD (Including last night!) I will see it on the big screen for the first time at the charity screening. I have also got 3 other first timers coming with me. Woo-hoo!

I too just discovered Firefly and Serenity and although I have not actually watched the film yet...(I know it's killing me but I promised to let my best friend 'catch up' and we'd watch it together!)I decided to see it on DVD this week (....can't wait!) so that I am not "losing my 'BDM' virginity" (as it were) in a thatre full of fans who already know every little thing about the film backwards!!!!!

Just one more thing - what exactly does BDM stand for? Big Damn Movie? Beautiful Daring Monument (to Firefly fans)?? Bottoms Dancing Meaningfully????? (Yeah that was really unimaginative!!) I am so new to Firefly that I just saw my first episode 14 days ago and joined this site 10 days ago and although I've watched each ep 2-3 times (+ commentaries) I've not had this BDM thing explained - please, please let me know the answer... I can't eat! ...I can't sleep! My football team can't win a game.....

Although I've probably seen the BDM (Big Dam Movie) over 30 times on our 55-inch TV, I've not yet seen it on the big screen.

I can't wait to sit in the theatre and see the title sequence...it makes me cry on the TV...I'm going to be a MESS!! (I love that ship)

Magdalene - BDM (Big Dam Movie) derives from the cast being our Big Dam Heroes (as you will learn when you watch the episode "Safe").

Didn't get to see it on the big screen, since I hate going to the theater anymore.

But I'll try to make the 24th viewing in Tuscon, AZ. I figure if a bunch of browncoats can't ensure a good viewing experience, then there is really no hope.

Its gonna be my first time seeing it in the Theaters. I'm new to the verse as of 2 months ago (3 days on this site). I love everything about it though.

Anyone going to the NYC, June 23rd showing? I'm hoping I'm not gonna be alone or with just a small amount of people. I need some ruttin fan love. LOL.

Anyone who has not yet seen the BDM on the BDS (Big Damn Screen) and lives in the Twin Cities area (Minneapolis/St.Paul) join us Thursday, June 22 at 9:30pm at Riverview Theatre in Minneapolis.
Yeah, been talking this up on the boards a lot, but word of mouth (or post) can do wonders.
