Amen with a pound of icecream on top. I watched idol (yes sad to say, the first season on and off and a little of the second) And it's like this. Once you see something the first time it's great, engaging, you can't help but wonder at it and hope for the best for the winners, but after the 4th time it's like "Are we caring now?" to quote Wash.
Can anyone seriously remember except for DIEHARD fans who the 3rd winner was? And have anyones career besides Kelly really taken off? It's no different than any reality program out there, hopefully the fad will go away soon and we can have real talent come to the surface, not corporate made cookie cutouts. This sounds harsh but it's my own opinion. I'm not asking people to agree or disagree, if we all agreed the world would be a boring place. I'm just sick of the whole thing. And though people may despise Simon (I certainly do) It's Paula and the Dog I can't stand. Too much of anything is not necessarily a good thing. I think that was a quote from Kirk in Tribbles.
However for my abruptness and snarky way of responding I apologize, it's wasn't nice of me and I'm sorry. I still stand by what I said, but I could have said it in a more civilized way.

Shineyed: Thanks for letting us know the rumor. You specifically stated that you are not sure anything will happen, just that you were passing along info. Also, if you talked to the young woman's mother, well, that is as good of source as any. So, thanks for the info, thanks for the Firefly support, and tell the young woman that if she does become famous, to push for more Firefly.
