I think that my all time favourite boredom was failing to remain awake through a Catholic wedding, seated with the groom's family.

Can I be bored too?
Current status: sitting at mom's computer, in stifling heat (it's raining out, so we can't open the windows, and our air conditioner is still in the closet), scanning and copying survey data.
Today was my last day of paid work, but I still have to turn up tomorrow (and probably Friday, and next week) to finish all the things we haven't had time to do the past week (what with doing three projects at once whilst dying from heat stroke in our un-air-conditioned office).
UPDATE: Scanning/collating's done. Now I just have to upload some pictures, draft a press release, and send both to the local newspaper.

(Good news: my boss acknowledged my service above and beyond the call, and will see about swinging me some extra paid hours next week. If I'm gonna be in anyway, I might as well get paid for it.)
