Warning! The Warner DVD is flawed.
The widescreen anamorphic side was lifted off the older laserdisc, but the timing (you know, the frame-thing) was off, and results in a 'jitter' every few seconds for the WHOLE movie!!!
The full frame side, however, is newly re-mastered, and plays just fine. I'm no fan of full frame when anamorphic widescreen is available, but this will have to do until Warner gets off their ass and gives us a better transfer.
The film was shot very wide for the most part, so full frame actually doesn't mess it up that bad....

This is quite a coincidence--I actually watched it last night. It's one of my "guilty pleasure" movies that gets blank looks from people when I mention it.

Did you watch it on DVD?

Note: It was edited by Stuart Baird, the master that edited Superman: The Movie, Lethal Weapon 1 & 2, Last Boyscout, Die Hard 2, and Demolition Man, among many others.

Music was by Jerry Goldsmith, who did Planet Of The Apes, Total Recall, Alien, The Omen and Supergirl, among many, many others.

Yep, watched it on DVD. My copied VHS version was SO crappy, the DVD is a huge improvement.

So, you watched the full-screen, I presume...?
Or could you deal with the widescreen flutter?

You're playing with grown-ups Chrisisall

I can't even find the film on DVD. WHich surprises me because it is worthy of a special edition, digital remaster edition. Even just for the fact Sean Connery puts out a great performance

I got it for ten bucks at Circuit City. You must be able to get it online, Amazon, maybe?
