Wonderfalls - should I get it?

Title says it all. I am thinking about purchasing the DVD set. Is it worth getting? I like quirky kind of off the wall shows shows and this seems like a good fit. I am always hesistant to buy entertainment things, so that is why I am waffling on the idea but some recommendations would help to push me one way or the other. I would appreciate any and all opinions.

Yes!

It's a really good show, well thought out, funny, addictive...

I quite liked the first episode, took the time to set up the characters etc. So I watched the second; and then I was hooked and had to ration myself.

Plus the bonus of Kaylee turning up in some of the later eps.

If you like off the wall and quirky, this has your name on it.

Seconded. Well worth your time. Fine ensemble cast, quirky humor, well written, great premise.

Be sure to watch them in order (it matters, especially toward the later episodes). Jewel is great, playing a totally different character from our gal Kaylee.

Definitely yes!!! Quirky, funny, charming, different, wonderful- and that's just the description of the star, Caroline Dhavernas (sp?)!

I also say yes, but I do have a note of caution for you. You will like the show a lot. It is very good. Therefore, you will once again be pissed off at the fact that it only has a partial season run. FOX pretty much just sucks. So, bear in mind that you might reach the end and be disappointed and annoyed that there are no more episodes if you do decide to buy the set.

God, I hate FOX.

(I bought it totally blind, loved every second, currently considering getting a second set as everybody and their pet llama is borroing it off me and refuses to give it back!)

One of the excutive producers was Tim Minear of Firefly fame. Great scripts & acting and if you like quriky go to Wonderfalls...

I adore this show, I turned my best friend onto it and when he first watched it, he turned around and said, "They took this off the air? Can we write them?" Unfortunately, by that point it was off the air for a year or so. Somethings are a hard sell, but if I can get him to watch it and love it, like I did with Firefly, than it's a damn good show. Make sure you give it a chance though, go through at least three ep.s! Plus it was produced by Tim Minear and Jewel Staite plays a great character at the end of the series! Buy it and ENJOY!
