For me Tangerine by led zeppelin, not that it has anything to do with scifi I always think of things i love and miss when I hear that song. I defintetley love and miss firefly.

some good tunes here.....
I've had a song on my mind for a while now, and it may not directly relate to the BDS or BDM, but it's one of those things that makes you feel something - like Firefly did for me... so, once again i will recommend a song by Imogen Heap... Hide and Seek....
(i feel like a pimp for this tune - but it's just a unique song and i like it a lot...) From the cd 'Speak for Yourself'

'All These Things That I've Done' by The Killers - all thanks to SaneAmy's fanvid set to that tune. I now can't think of anything else when I hear that song, it's changed in the way that Don't Stop Me Now did since I saw Shaun of the Dead, and I love both songs all the more for it. Thanks SaneAmy.

Johnny Cash - 'Highwayman' - the last verse is just...Mal.

Peter Gabriel 'San Jacinto' for Serenity Valley.

Placebo 'Meds' for River. Or Kasabian 'Club Foot'.

And I like that Coldplay 'Fix you' for the Tams, too - good call.

'Sixteen Tons' for Jayne,of course. But I get inspired by all sorts of music, and then the voices come... The Big Damn Fanfic I posted had a soundtrack.

Tom Petty - Learnin' to Fly

Pearl Jam - The overall feel of "Long Road" reminds me of our BDH for some reason. The other song on that disc is "I Got ID" which is perfect for Mal with regards to Inara.

Almost anything Johnny cash, with the exclusion of San Quentin, and the Folsom Prison Blues. I like "I've been everywhere" for just the fact that Mal in particular has. And for the obvious Mal/Inara bit, there's "It Ain't Me Babe" with J Cash and June Carter. anyway, yea, Johhny Cash was a cool musical dude.

Bill Withers- Ain't No Sunshine. A total Mal and Inara song
Bob Marley- Get Up Stand Up. A song for all the BROWNCOATS
Kanye West- Spaceship. One of those crap ain't working out and someday I'll fly away songs.
Any number of Wu-Tang songs.
Clutch- Escape From The Prison Planet and Spacegrass.
And of course The Highwaymen. When I first related Johnny Cash's part of the song with Captain Reynolds, lets just say I felt all warm and fuzzy.
