Sorry, but I am not seeing your post for anything other than you trying to play the lost babe in the woods. Things that other humans understand are slipping right through your comprehension. There are a lot of threads on this board I do not understand, nor can I follow the story lines in many of them. But, I do not go into those threads and ask them for their motivation for posting. I have gone into a thread before to ask what the story-line was (the Nooks, I think). When I found out, I did not post high-minded rhetoric to make myself sound like I was looking into the normal world from the outside. I read the threads, enjoy them for their laughs and ocassional insight, and post when I have something to add. You seem to post in order to get attention; not just in this thread, but in several others as well. You want to question something, fine. Try to do it in a manner that comes across as less condescending, and maybe you will get a better response in the future.
Pitying the people who think highly of you is not the best way to repay their kindness.

I like your post. So full of conviction.
No lost babe in the woods scenario happening here. I was actually curious, and yes, when I don't understand something I DO go into other threads sometimes to find the answer.

Posting things in order? You mean I'm being systematic? I post where I post when I need to post. I'm not tactical about such things. I do like my post in the 'Remember' thread, but I don't think the vet that started it is going to be very amused.

There's no need to hit me with the "attention seeking label" I'm not into attention seeking right now because I have all the attention I need, and if you see what I have written as condescending in any manner, you yourself have put that there because that was not my intention. I was just curious.

Don't make faces.

Damn, its all rainy here! All the s'mores are going to be soggy! ! Someone see if they can get us some umbrellas from our buddy Lucifer downstairs!

You're welcome on my boat. God ain't.

It IS fun, but I was just curious as to why it's happening. Question. Do I come off as condescending? or is this just a 'Babe in the woods' thing to say?

To me, you sound either confused, or wishing to join in the fun but not entirely sure if you're welcome.

It's an excuse to be silly with likeminded silly people who have a better-than-average chance of understanding my subreferences. Don't try to understand it - just chime in. Or not.

(BTW, did you bring more beer?)

River, there is a difference between asking for clarification and what you have done. As you pointed out, it may be all in the way I read your post, but you do come across as condescending. I am done with this. If I have not satisfied your curiosity, I am sure someone else will.

For me, it started off as hysterical because he put me on the list without me asking to be on it. I never knew someone paid that much attention to my rantings. Then it just sort of morphed into a thread similar to the "Serenity Day/Llama Hair Shaving PARTAY" thread, but set in the woods and/or hell and involving fire and as many hell-like things we can come up with.

I see. No, most of the people here have demonstrated a certain acceptance of me and I do understand that and am happy about it, so I know I'm accepted in this strange group (did that sound condescending?) I was just just a little confused about the whole affair (Does this sound like a bid for attention) and I was asking a few questions about it all in order to clarify things, but some people are reading way too much into my posts.

Take a chill pill.

So we need to wear special gloves to handle it?

I suppose not since we were all wearing asbestos leotards before.

River sighs and picks up a frosty beer that was in the ice barrel, and looks towards the bonfire and the strangly dressed people dancing around it...
