Announced today, beginning June 13, Sci Fi will begin a new series devoted to a WWE spinoff league, Extreme Championship Wrestling...in the hopes of getting the same ratings lift that USA network has gotten from WWE's Raw....
I'm sure there are those who enjoy watching this stuff (i'll never understand why), ... but please, on Sci Fi... let's just call it what it is... The Sell-Out Network...

Okay, I just looked at my calendar and it doesn't appear to be April 1 so ... are you SERIOUS?

I realize that wrestling is way out there, but the SciFi Channel? I don't think so. How sad.

Well, in the sense that nothing's real in pro wrestling...okay. If you stand on your head and squint, wrestling can fit on the Sci Fi channel, as "fantasy".

But ...whatinthenameofbrightbluefuckall...

This particular department of the whole NBC telefamily must really be struggling financially.

Obviously, we don't have many rasslin bufss round here...

ECW is an old federation that went defunct a while back. Back in the day, there used to be the "big three", WWF (Now WWE), WCW and ECW. ECW was the smallest and most often unaired due to it's content which for the record is 20 times better than anything the WCW or WWF/WWE has ever shown. ECW is where a good majority of wrestlers in the big leagues got their start, including but not limited to Mick Foley and Steve Austin.

I'm not sure if this is gonna be the same ECW, but if it is, then I might actually start watching again.

Followed the link you found:

It's gonna be REAVERS vs ZOMBIES! Humans Vs ALIENS!
