GE owns NBC, who owns Universal, who also runs TV channels in the US, inclding The Sci Fi Channel, who seem to have this succesful program "Battlestar Galactica" [never heard of it

I would love to see the 'verse back on TV again. However, I think realistically, Big Damn Sequels are more likely.
