Hmm. I don't have any good advice there I'm afraid. I met my current boyfriend at work - actually I was his boss for a few months! Then after he quit, we started dating. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! 
I feel like anytime you go out looking to meet someone, it's guaranteed to be a bust. The only thing you can do is try to put yourself in a position to talk to new people. But it certainly isn't easy.

Anyone know how to bring this to the attention of a certain someone?
I was on yahoo personals at one point, but since I refused to pay for it I really didn't get very far. I was only allowed to send those - whatchamacallits - ice breakers, I think. Sent a few back and forth, but all the people who interested me also weren't paying, so we never could arrange a meet. You couldn't say whatever you wnated in the icebreakers; they were pre-written
