Thanks to a really good friend, to whom I happened to mention that I was thinking of going to see the movie 'Serenity' last year, got me to see the series before the movie. Thank God is all I can say!! It made a lot more sense to get to know the characters before seeing them on the big screen.

I have successfully converted three of my friends and one of my brothers, and am continuing to spread the good word.

Hey, we're glad you finally quit lurking and joined us! We like to talk around here and really like it when new folks join us!

PhoenixRose is right, you need your official 'coat!

I dunno how I do that perfect fit thing... RadarRese, my storeroom clerk may have more to do with that than me. Now she's home again, I'm more prompt with the 'coats!

Great job with the recruitin' and that's what it's gonna take to get us all some more!

Have you noticed in your lurking that we have some mighty shiny plans for the summer..The Summer of Serenity. It starts out with the charity screenings of Serenity all around the world thru Serenity Now/Equality Now, you can check them out at www.cantstoptheserenity.com. That occurs June 23rd. Then there is gonna be a mass buying drive that same day thru the Serenity Day site, check them out at www.serenityday.org. They are in no way affiliated with the charity screenings, but we're all supportive of both of them. And we have stuff planned all summer long here at FFF.net. Starting with our support of the above mentioned things, running all summer long until (and beyond actually)September 30th which is the anniversary of the release of Serenity, our Serenity 'Versary.

We keep up with all that stuff over to the right on the main page under the heading Browncoat Events Forum. You should find a list of some stuff already planned and you'll see more over the coming weeks. Hope you'll join us! This should be lots of fun.

Oh, and someone should be along soon to offer you more food, we're a friendly bunch and always feed new folks... so welcome home.

I have been keeping an eye out for June 23rd stuff, but I live in Sydney, Australia, and nothing seems to be happening here yet. Probably early days though!

Well if you've lurked in the "Hi I'm new" type threads you already know what I'm 'bout to say, hopefully you like to hear me say it.

Welcome here, we're weird.

You must know that you're family if you've been here, just sitting there ... watching us. And yet you've just been silent and not let us say hi. What's up with that?

See this is why we're a disfunctional family, some people are longtime family members and they never talk to the rest of the family, it's like getting the silent treatment without knowing it.

Weird.

Actually, seriously, thank you. I was getting so set in my ways and totally unoriginal in my "welcome here" posts that I was starting to wonder if it was even worth typing them, after all who wants a generic well rehersed greeting?

So you get what is probably the most personalized one I've yet made.
