Hi Folks,
My Dh just showed me this video online - ok, perhaps these guys need to get a life, but they have done a pretty good job.....

Well, who hasn't wanted to have a lightsaber duel? :) Say what you want about Lucas, lightsabers frelling rock.
Actually, have to say they did a pretty good job with the choreography and whatnot. Certainly better swordsmanship than I could have pulled off.

Very nicely choreagraphed, and the effects were way better then most other "fanmovies" ive seen out there. Must have taken a while to get it all to work. Have to say I liked it actually ;)
You can’t stop the Signal.
Keep spreading the word about Firefly!

I don't think fandom can go too far! lol - fan comes from 'fanatic' after all. Besides, I own (and am willing to 'fess up to) several starfleet uniforms, tons of star wars memorabilia and also lots of Firefly stuff too - and am proud of it! lol
This video was cool. you should check out the ones on Theforce.net
some are terrible, some bewildering - but some are good. Check out the 'saber fight on Contract of Evil (shame about the acting), or the French-made Star Wars film 'Versus' for some of the best IMHO.

- Shiny. Let's be bad guys.

Fandom might not go too far, but it can go horribly, horribly wrong though.

yeah, I thought the guys did a good job too, the title was meant with tongue firmly in cheek. The fighting was quite well done (My DH fights in a medieval Recreation socirty and he thought they were ok - he's pretty picky) and the effcets were pretty seamless. It just boggles my mind that people have that much time on their hands...maybe it was a uni/college task?

That was pretty damn good. The effects are about as well done as any movie. It must have taken a hell of a lot of practice to choreograph. It didn't look like there were many cuts and that is impressive. That bit with them fighting on the floor was quite original. I also liked seeing someone fight using a reverse grip on the lightsaber, always wondered why that technique wasn't used in any of the movies.
I also tried downloading that movie recommended by SimonB at Force.net but to no avail. Yes, I do have broadband. Everytime I would start to download it would inexplicably get hung up around 15% with no progress for several minutes. Oh well.

I thought it was shiny. Great fight and sword choreography. Loved the ending.
Now we just need some serious Firefly / Serenity fan vids.
