EDIT 21/05/06: Apparently I fell for an April fool joke, sorry! Move along, nothing to see here.

Space Cases: The Next Generation Nickelodeon announced as part of their cable upfront this week that they have signed up Jewel Staite (Kaylee on Firefly/Serenity) to lead a new series to follow on from the 1996 TV series, Space Cases, which starred a 14 year old Staite as a member of the crew of an alien ship. In this updated version, Staite returns from the other dimension ten years later to find her crewmates still on the ship and in the midst of an ongoing war with the evil Straczyn. Co-Creators Bill Mumy and Peter David are also back on board.

Seriously? this is going to be awesome....Not the actual show, because let's face it, it's probably going to suck despite our beloved Kaylee. But as far as nostalgia goes...This was the first show that I ever saw her on. Not going to lie, I will watch this children's show when it comes out religiously, just for Kaylee.

Ooooh, we can't be sure it was a joke! After all, the movie Mammoth is mentioned isn't it?
Has anyone checked Jewel's blog about this? Cuz if it's true it would be shiny! I loved that show. I will confess, loved it to death. Oddly enough, Catalina was my favorite
