I just recieved the complete series as a gift...I had never seen an episode of Firefly before...I have'nt seen Serenity either. I got bored two days ago and threw in the 1st episode, expecting to half watch it while I messed around on my computer, I got hooked in a nanosecond..I can't believe I missed this series..Well I did'nt get any sleep that night...I tore thru that set in a day. So today I rented Serenity. I'm disappointed there is nothing new after tonight. Is there any news about future shows or movies?...Is there a comic book?

I know how you feel - but glad you found the 'verse and welcome! I think you'll find this a shiny place to wait while we continue the fight to bring the show/film back in some form.

It's always good to welcome new folk, and I'm sure the official greeters will be along shortly with a virtual browncoat for you, and strawberries too I should imagine.

So yeah, as you know, there's a comic, and we all hope another film/series will come along one day, but we just don't know yet. Right now, the best thing you can do is help us spread the word to all those people that missed it too - the more people that see and love the show (and the more money it makes) the more chance we have of getting more of it!

First, Kaneman, let me welcome you to our home. It's nice to meet you. Please make your self at home as well. Here's a nice Irish Whiskey as a welcome.

To get to some of your questions. Yes, there are a few comic books with more in the works. (I haven't gotten them yet, so some other nice one of our folks will be able to supply ya with the information on how to find it.)

Currently, there is nothing officially in the works. However we're not lettin' anything rest. If ya'll want to step over to the Browncoat events section, you'll find out more about the 'Summer of Serenity' campaign we're launching June 23rd (Joss's Birthday). We're planning on letting the powers that be know we appreciate the movie, and that we'd like more. :-) Also see the web site: http://www.serenityjune23rd.com/ You can help out buy buying either copies of the movie or series, getting your friend's and family to watch the series, (that's were having extra copies will come in handy--so you don't have to go without while recruiting more folks), having get togethers (shindigs) to get more folks interested, and it will be culminating with another happy buying spree on Sept 30, which is the anniversary of the release of Serenity last year.

Lastly, I'd like to commiserate with you on that feeling that you've seen them all, with nothing on the horizon. All of us here have been there and understand how you feel. That's why we're all here. We want more, we want to be able to talk about it to others who understand.

And unless she's being much less wordy that I, FollowMal will be through at some time to give you your very own virtual browncoat.

Hehe...I discovered Firefly myself last week. But I went in the order of Serenity, thought it was a nice, and went and got the Series DVD.

It's a seriously good show. I've succesfully converted my lil bro and sister as well. It's a good experience and you'd want to share with those close to ya.

Now gonna get myself some nice T Shirts... :D

I think a lot of us got hooked that way Kaneman.
I know I did. Watching SciFi, it came on and my attention was instantly riveted. Couldn't take my eyes off it and fell in love right away. Especially Mal.

Enjoy Serenity, savor it, because besides comics and books, we are holdin' and waitin' for more. You've already heard about our shiny campaign to get more, we hope you'll involve yourself in it.

Welcome home, Kaneman, as the others have said. You are among friends and likeminded folk. We love to talk about this wonderful crew and our BDM ( Big Damn Movie).

Watch out for spoilers before you see the movie, then after you watch it come back and let us know what you think.

Finally, since you have joined up, you need a browncoat of your own.

KANEMAN I am curious, who gave you the box-set as a gift? Had to be a dear friend or family member it would seem. Then as you said. You had gotten bored and decided to watch them. Thank goodness for boredism in your case right?

Anyway I was wondeing if the person that gave you the series didn't tell you anything about it? Maybe they did? Either way you did the right thing.You really did check out your gift and now you can tell what a true friend they were/are.
