Most of you know that Nathan Fillion was in Saving Private Ryan. He got one of the only laughs in a very sombre movie. Even his scene was only funny for a couple seconds, then you're back in the war, and it's not so funny at all.

Yes, Nathan is Minnesota Ryan in the movie and his part is heart wrenching.
He does a very fine job. I have asked this before and I'm gonna ask it again... how come S. Spielberg hasn't hired Nathan for his next blockbuster?

Wasnt he the one that did all the crying but then they found out that he wasnt the real private ryan

I have one, had one for years, I just don't post on Serenifly sites much =p And I mean literally, about the coat-- I actually wear a brown coat, although everything I own is earthtones anyway, so it was no stretch.

This is soooo funny. I saw in Nathan's reseme that he was in 'Saving Private Ryan' but couldn't find out who he played.

When I first watched that movie I was crying along with him. NOW. I can't stop laughing. The scene is still sad but I can't see it that way.

Agreed! I remember thinking how sad it was, and how ironic that he falls apart when the real Pvt. Ryan is too busy to get upset about his brothers. Nathan is such an awesome actor! I probably just chuckled in the movie theater, but it's even funnier now that I've seen more of Mr. Fillion in action.
