No, Chris, not that I'm aware of. My Dad was the most open, straightforward man I ever knew. I surely wouldn't have hired him as a spy, I don't think the goverment would either.
Although I have to say... he would not talk about that time in the military. At all. He also died of leaukemia, which his death certificate listed per Army doctors as caused by radiation exposure and Agent Orange exposure. When he was diagnosed after his first stroke with leaukemia, he was entered into a study which the Army conducted for the next 10 years, then they switched him to civilian doctors. I always meant to pursue that, but as his life wound down, I just wanted to spend time with him.
He wouldn't tell me any of the stories of his time in war either, until he was older and when he started to tell me about his time in the Chosin Reservoir in Korea he could only get so far and then he quit. He never did finish telling me that tale before he died. I just don't think he could tell me about what he saw.

My point with Shadow is that it's easier to say "Get a thicker skin" when you're the one doing the offending than it is when you're the one on the receiving end! So now I've been accused of being a Klan member and of being an bigot. Beautiful! And all because I object to having the entire white population of FFF.net painted with the same brush. Ridiculous! If the shoe were on the other foot, once again, and someone on this board (God forbid) felt that a racial slur had been made, I'm sure we'd all be apologizing all over ourselves to make it right, and rightly so. But what's this? I take umbrage to being called a Klan member, and I'm the racist?!

I'm aware that Shadow wasn't calling me a Klan member. I'm sure that he meant that comment in jest, and I've already shared my opinion on that type of humor. My point in the foregoing is that I felt as if that is what he was saying, and it most certainly did not feel good. 6213, on the other hand, came right out and called me a bigot, and that felt even worse; hence the tirade.

If there was no merit to what I had said, then you have no reason to get your boxer shorts in a bunch, but since you are getting all upset and sensitive, and somewhat defensive, then I guess I must have struck a nerve.
I'm white but I found no reason to take offense at what Shadow said. It was funny in a way to think that us Browncoats could ever stoop to something like klans, and that's what made it funny, but yourself and a few others read more into that sort of humor then what was there. I guess your beer and television must have somehow been interrupted.
Oh well, live and learn I suppose.

It's nice to think that if something has no Merit it has no effect, but it isn't true. I ignored you because I thought it was pretty clear you were just trying to be an ass and I thought we'd already had enough of that, but you had to keep it up didn't you?
So you say that he's a white supremacist and the fact that he objects makes it true, interesting that. So what's next? He's a rapist perhaps? There's plenty of unsolved ones out there, I'm sure you can find one to pin on our Causal, and of course if he's offended by the allegations he must be guilty.
Nice the way that works, guilty by means of accusation. Must be nice to set it up so that you can say whatever you want and no one can object without being condemned twice over. My only question is, "Why?"
