I know how to do that, I just always forget to do it. And I'm lazy.
Sad, really.

*sniff*
"So I talked about conscience and I talked about pain And he looked out the window and it started to rain
I thought maybe I've already gone crazy
So I reached for a bottle and he reached for the door And I picked up the sleeping pills crushed on the floor
Inviting me to a casual obscenity."

Silly you. No tears.
Next time you see me on YIM or something, you tell me to go turn the sound off, okay? Then (maybe) I'll do it.

I've never had any of my PC's make any noise for any action performed. I actually turn off all "event" type sounds.
This is due to my geekdom. I grew up with a bit of a need for speed when my computer was concerned (I was actually cooling my PC with water as far back as 7 years ago). It was always about performance for me. Now, performance impact of stuff like that is negligible...but habit keeps me from using any sounds (i don't use any wallpaper for my desktop, either).

Ahhhh! It's venting the magic smoke...

*rolls eyes* *giggle*
whats the fun of it going all super flashy fast if theres no fun in basic stuff like looking at the screen?
*butts out*
funny exchange about geeks that I had to share, my little brother works for Gamesworkshop (they guys who sell the little plastic armys that you play D&D type strategy games with) so he has pile of GW stuff lying round, and my mum picked up a tape measure with the GW logo on it today and asked
'is there anything you can't buy in that place?'
and quick as a flash i said 'yup, a life'
now I didn't mean it at all, cause i'm hardly in a position to be throwing stones, and I love geeks. But I was very proud that after a tiring and crappy day I was still able to be a smartass. yey me.

Ha! that's fantastic. I bought some paints and brushes at a GamesWorkshop here. for painting some minitures. But I never got into their Warhammer games. thought the video game was entertaining for a while. Though I mostly enjoyed changing the paint schemes.
es for the smartass.

being a smartass is one of my fortes
thing with the flashy fast as you put it, i was always a gamer...if i could get a few more frames per second on the latest game and sacrifice something else to do it, i would.
now i don't really care about frames or the like...it's just habit now, haha

I haven't got a passport so you'll have to smuggle me in. Or my parents are away to France from tommorrow, and the last time my brother had a party things ended badly so it's got to be my turn.
More insane ramblings by the people who brought you beeeer milkshakes!
And as you know, these are open forums, you're able to come and listen to what I have to say.
