22 yr old female in Wisconsin. Personality more River and Inara, with a dash of Zoe and Kaylee. This means I'm kinda crazy, fun, mostly nice, don't take crap from anyone, and easily provoked by certain friends of mine.
I like Simon, but he's too awkward for us to get anywhere. Therefore, I'm looking for a Mal/Simon crossover.

If I had to make up my perfect partner I'd look for Mal's butt, Jayne's upper arms, Book's kindness, Simon's intelligence and Wash's sense of humour. I'd add in Inara's hands, Kaylee's face, River's eyes and Zoe's body but that might just confuse matters!
Seriously, meeting someone funny and kind who wouldn't look at me oddly when I get over-excited about stuff (like Firefly) would be really great!

I am not single yet. Lawyer won't let me date. And I KNOW I have no hope of finding what I want in this town. Course, first I have to figure out what want. What I DON'T want is negativity and pessimism. 
I want funny, charming, intelligent and kind. And if he looked like a certain actor WHOO HOO!

Strange, I have no problems building other people up, but can't even descibe myself. Let's give it a try. 6'1", muscular Merc type that actually enjoys stimulating conversation and outdoor activity. Turned 28 a few months ago and a bit softer around the edges than I used to be. Native Nevadan so the whole Browncoat thing coincides well with my lifestyle. Also, I'm naturally brown so wearing a brown coat is always in style. Looking for a physically, mentally, and emotionally strong female who: puts Firefly/Serenity second to none, likes trying new things, and would love to go to the range and waste a few hundred rounds in the name of venting frustration. Ummm, I may have said too much. Why the sudden awkward feeling?

Ah, another who acknowledges it's not a simple choice, for if she could make it she would, just in the hopes it would be more fair.
I will level with you here, FMF, it makes nothing easier. See, most girls aren't interested or they aren't my type. I'm cursed with the curse of liking more feminine women in a world where it's (mostly) masculine women interested in me, a feminine woman. It's a strange, strange thing.
It does mean I might get more asthetic pleasure walking down the average street, but beyond that... *sigh* just say it takes a special kinda person to interest me, so I'm glad my options aren't (necessarily) limited by what parts they might have.

Guns are fun. Yeah, I prefer a girly little 22 or 9mm, but I still think they're fun.

Well, I am working on the "I have friends who have friends" angle in LA. Not really sure I WANT another French Canadian!
I lived in DC in the early 80's and used to spend a lot of time with my gay male friends - so was often in the company of woman who found me attractive. I was just not interested. Although, I can definately appreciate a beautiful woman - or woman's body. I had one female friend that kept wanting me to give it a try - but I had to tell her honestly that I would be happy to receive, it would be the giving back that was the problem

POENIXROSE: They might seem "girly", but they are two of the most common and practical calibers of weapon. I own several of each. Anything that gets the job done is alright with me.
FMF: Though I may be only 28, I have been place and done things people twice my age only dream about,(but unfortunately many of them are nightmarish and unforgiving).
