It's a "Legend of Zelda" fan movie.... made by people with only their own wallets footing the bill. They also have their own day jobs and do this on the side. The trailer has none of the special effects that they have been working on, but they say that the movie is done filming and is going through the final editing/post production phase.

It's causing a huge tear in the Zelda Fandom. Some of the fans are condeming this movie for the simple fact that the person playing Link is Right Handed, he does break enough pots, he's fighting humans, and his hair is too blonde [which I can see, but it's a minor feature]. I find the Zelda Fandom petty and completely crazy in their nitpicking. The general consensus is either you think it's going to be cool, or you absolutely hate it with all your being.

Me personally I think it looks cool for a fan film. Better than most of the fanfilms I see being made for Star Wars. The story sounds really interesting. I'm looking forward to it.

I guess that leaves the question of if Firefly did come back to the airwaves, but with a completely different cast, would it be excepted or ridiculed.

I find the whole nitpicking thing petty. The makers are fans of the franchise as well and they just did what they wanted to see done.

This is just really sad in my book... you guys wouldn't do that to a Firefly fan film, would ya?

I'm not really into Zelda- my little brother plays it and I know the general plot but never played it myself- but I have to say that that was one of the best fan films I've ever seen. It was like I was watching a trailer for a big budget movie...

I think if someone were to make a fan film like that about the 'verse, some people would hate it, sure...but I think most of us would be accepting. Anything to keep the spirit of Firefly alive, right?

But if the official show were to come back without our BMHs...I might get a little miffed, yeah....

Mine is an evil sugar high laugh! Bwahahahaha!

Heh. I think we have some way to go before we beat the Battlestar Galactica fan who started his own message board about the new series then filled it with posts hating it and predicting imminent doom. He made sure of its uniform opinion by refusing to allow anyone else to join.

Roll on Twilight Princess BTW.
