Maybe he should take some classes on other religions and possibly shake up his routine by actually thinking about what he's saying and knowing what he's talking about.....but of course that could be heady stuff for a person not overburdened with an abundance of brains.
And if our dear and fluffy lord was so angry about there being other religions and the world being made up of many different, rich cultures...why doesn't he just come down here and make it just like he wants it?
And whatever happened to love thy neighbour as thyself? Did that just get chucked into the dustbin with human decency?
I've not been conditioned to hate President Bush either. This may seem like totally shocking news coming from a high school student...but I've actually beent aught to think for myself...and I do, being staunchly Independent (both in the 'verse and out 
). And I'm telling myself that I don't hold with anything TheRightStuff is saying...and I wouldn't even if'n it made sense.
On the other hand, glad to see some sane people here! Can I get some teeth, too, Citizen? Don't want to be unprepared for my date with doom!

I do know the "words of the Lord". I know that they are MAN's interpretation of the word of God. I know that the Bible is horribly contradictory. I'm sorry, you want to say homosexuality is a sin based on the bible? Well honey, you better stop eating shellfish and wearing certain fabrics because those are also condemned in the same place. I also know that there are different versions of nearly every book of the Bible that have been found (Dead Sea Scrolls and Shapira scrolls) and that they have been deemed heretical by the existing power structure. Ergo, organized religion these days seems to be about power and control and keeping the masses down. Additionally, I'd hardly consider Dubya a "man of God". He's a liar, he's a murderer, and he's not a good man. People like you are dumb enough to believe his rhetoric about evil Islamic terrorists, yet fail to see the damage the vaguely Christian religious extremists do to our country from the inside. I'm not just referencing Bush here, fyi.
Furthermore (I'm finishing up here because I have to go to work), I don't claim to know whether there is a God or isn't a God. Technically speaking Islam, Christianity, and Judaism all have the same God, just different belief systems about who the big deal prophet was and who the son of God was (don't get me started on Jews for Jesus--they're nuts). This world WOULD be a better place if we could a)get over our religious differences and realize it's not that big of a deal or b)possibly operate with a few more Buddhist notions in hand. For the most part, that's the religion that isn't having serious fights with anyone else and doesn't have a history of major bloodshed trying to force its views on an unwilling populace. Sending children to their death? That's always a good plan.
And George W. Bush certainly doesn't care about everything on the planet because he's actively destroying the environmnet at every turn. If he truly cared, he would protect the one thing that allows us to live our lives however greedy, selfish, and self-destructive they might be.

In what the RIGHTSTUFF says. I see nothing in regards to the glorification of Jesus or God in anything that George Bush as said and done. Not ever. It’s all a farce. GWB gives lip service to get votes and approval, and then he goes and does what he wants to do.
He's a big, fat, pig that should be put up against the wall...or at least impeached, but we as Americans don't seem to have the courage to make this particular point real clear. We get what we deserve. The current administration is our fault, so don't whine.
GWB is taking advantage of all the ignorant, but honest people in this country. He’s also taking advantage of the homophobic, and the xenophobic. Somehow this administration has found a way to direct the fears of white people in the direction that favors the idiotic policies of the current administration.
Why are we not rioting in the streets as our young soldiers are being killed off in Iraq? Why when we first heard of our own government spying on us did we all not freak-out and make lots of noise about us not liking this sort of thing? Because we are sheep, and they know that.
I think I’m going to go to bed. All of this stupidity is so depressing.

Don't be depressed River. Be happy that Bush will be out of there in a couple of years, never to return. 
What I'm worried about is who's gonna take his place. The politicians I've seen haven't been too promising, though I admit I don't pay a whole lot of attention to politics.
