The new Dr Who is tolerable, but Billie Piper's atrocious acting annoys me sooo much. I don't like most british serious TV. For some reason we can't make a good TV show unless its supposed to be funny.

As Bill's acting is atrocious, Andromeda will be perfect for you.

Hercules would be good too, but avoid the episodes with Bruce in them. You wouldn't like him.

Uh god, my brother likes Hurcules... the acting in that is even worse than the acting in Dr Who. Im not even sure its the acting that annoys me anymore, I think it's just Billie.

I have to apologise for my previous tone.

You are obviously not beyond hope, and answer in a far classier way than I did.

Babylon 5 and Farscape will sort you out. And Band of Brothers.

I still think you need a little more work in persuading you that Billie Piper can act, but I'm not one to force you to watch constant reruns of Dr Who with your eyelids taped open (well, at least not until certain particular terms of my Restraining Order expire...)

Off to make a nice cup of tea and watch the Cybermen in a few minutes. This had better be good. They were always much creepier than the Daleks. A lot to live up to.

I agree Gixx B5 has always been 1 of my faves. You are right about when Sheriden came into the series I was unsure, because I was always a die hard Sinclair fan (he was always very cool and easy going), however he did a fine job. I always loved the tension between G'kar and Londo. Lennier was always mild mannered and wise but hard as nails and Garibaldi always reminded me of Bruce Willis LOL. As I said earlier 'Babylon Squared' is not just my fave B5 episode but 1 of my fave Sci-Fi episodes. This is a bold statement but I put it up there with 'OoG' :)

Yeah, and using spacesuits from 2001. Can't get a cooler visual quote than that.

Strangely, I really can't stand The Blue Danube normally, but that shuttle docking sequence? I can watch that anytime. Just beautiful.

Hehe. I don't much like most British TV. Band of Brothers is a brilliant series, I got the box set already. Im currently downloading a few pilot episodes of things, which I really hate doing but it gives me an idea of what I want to buy at least. I already have Farscape.. though, The Peacekeeper wars dissappointed somewhat... what happened to the brilliance?

Anyone think of any other character-based series for me to watch?
