Mal (obviously) I like the idea of Mal in a dress

But all the Firefly ladies are gorgeous anyway so I'd probably choose Inara.

Mal: One of you is gonna fall and die. And I'm not cleaning it up.

My boy just told me he'd go gay for Mal. Should I be worried?

Anyway, for a guy I'd pick.. erm.. Simon. If I have to pick a boy. Hmph.

And for a girl, River. Hands down. I have a major girl-crush on her :)

Yeah, I think Mal should definitely qualify as a "girl" when he's in his dress ...

And, Simon is nearly female, anyway. Sorry, but I like my men big and scary.

Wash would be a mite difficult, him bein' corpsified 'n' all.

But, assuming everyone from the show is well and whole, can I have Crow AND Jayne? At the same time? Then, if Zoe wants to jump in, too, I won't stop her...

*blinks in surprise* River's not a minor; she's 17. Not my type at all, though.

Guys - Mal all the way (I wish!).

Girls - ooh. Not sly at all so picking is difficult. Inara, I think - I feel that both Zoe and Kaylee have a lot of earthy sexuality about them but I'd find Inara easier to cope with *because* she doesn't have the same aura; she acts more silkily sophisticated. Also, she's canon bisexual so would be able to tell me what to do!

With a girl? Probably River, if only because I've dreamed about it before... *hemhem*

With a guy? I'd sleep on Mal's floor. We're so alike we'd probably get along famously.

Simon...most definitely Simon.

{Lost in lusty} Oh yeah, most definitely Simon.

Simon: I like my men insecure and sweet. And he could be a beast in bed? Right..? (not that I'm always up for that)

Inara: she's just so beautiful. Zoë scares me and Kaylee would make me laugh and that's just a disaster for the rest of the event

Female: Inara. What can I say? She's just my kinda girl. Dark hair and eyes, for starters. Knows her way around the human anatomy, for the main course. Has a delightfully expressive face and physical grace, for dessert and between-meals snacks.

Male: I'm gonna have to agree with the ebullient Chrisisall on this one. If I have an inner woman, she's most definitely a lesbian, and is as disinterested in males as sexual partners as I am. For this reason and those enumerated above, she'd go for Inara in a big way, especially since she knows that character is not averse to the odd homosexual encounter.

If there were a female version of myself, 'odd' would definitely be a fitting descriptive. I barely pass for human as it is; any female who resembles me physically has my deepest sympathies.

But that's only if I were to be 'sleeping' with a guy. As far as guys I'd like to spend time 'bullshitting' with (another form of latent homosexuality, according to some psychobabblers), I admire all the Firefly male crew members, with the possible exception of Simon, who's a little too effete to be of use as a male buddy. (NB: http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/effete, def. 2.c., more so than def. 3.)

So, if the question were, "Which male would you like to go to lunch with?" or "...get drunk with?" -- and if I were pinned down to only one -- I'd say Wash. He's intelligent, witty, fun-loving, and a risk-taker. I think that'd make for a lively lunchtime conversation, and/or a wild ride of a pub crawl.

To recapitulate, I'd sleep with Inara, regardless of my sexual orientation. I hope that makes better sense to the reader than it does to me, since I've only got the one, and no internally discernible trace of the other. I'd go to lunch or out drinking with Wash, although that's a scenario that any of the male characters would likewise fill admirably...

Alternatively,

zoid

P.S.
Good lunch partners: Book, Simon, in that order. Good drinking buddies: Mal, Jayne, in that order. See the pattern? Wash would be the only one good at both, although the maître d' would probably give me a dirty look for bringing a dead guy into his beanery. Not so much of a problem at the roadhouse, tho' probably not terribly spry, should a melee ensue. Another added benefit: Could use the hole in his chest as a Lone Star longneck holder or ashtray. How many of your drinking buddies can you say that about?

P.P.S.
Although I'd never go anywhere to eat with Jayne, with the possible exception of a Jack-In-The-Box drivethru (did that sound homoerotic enough?), I think Adam Baldwin would probably be the most engaging and thought-provoking of the actors with whom to dine, regardless of venue. I've read some of his posts on the OB, and I like his argumentational style. I admire the way he asks questions of his debate adversaries, letting their answers prove his point. I also agree with him philosophically, from what I can tell. Adam seems well-read, knowledgeable, polite and deeply in touch with the world around him -- sorta the anti-Jayne, in real life. Ron Glass likewise intrigues me because of the remarkable life he has led, and through the remarkable times in which he has lived that life. Were I to dine with him, I'd probably just focus on his life and the stories he'd tell, which'd be a pretty one-sided conversation, and rude of me. It's hard to get through Nathan's 'life-of-the-party' public persona to see enough of the real man behind this mask. Being fellow Texans, Alan and I might very well go the entire meal in stolid silence... or in uproarious laughter, upsetting any nearby Yankee diners (and not particularly giving a damn).

Speaking as a wholely and securely heterosexual male:

Guy: Wash. That guy just has me pissin' m'self laughin' all the time. Of course, there's always the minefield that is Zoe, but if she were somehow brought into the fold...

Girl: River. Two years after Serenity. That way, she's both 19, still River, and... still River. And there's no way anybody could turn her down, because you just know she'd be so absolutely blunt about the whole thing. Second choice would have to be Kaylee (Gotta love that spirit) and Zoe (for reasons stated numerous times above).
