The idea has been bandied about for quite a while as an idea to resurrect the show, but apparently now it's become a reality. As such, it also presents an opportunity for Browncoats to excel and show network execs that there is a profitable model in bringing the show back to the small screen.
Firefly is apparently available as one of the classic Fox programs now available on iTunes for $1.99 per episode. I can't chase the link right now since I'm at work (damnable firewalls), perhaps I can get one of our less restricted tech-enabled Browncoats to hook the community up for better details and a direct link.
I don't know if we're going to be handed a much better chance than this...

Well, I think we've always been putting our money where our mouth is, but I agree that this is a terrific opportunity.
Does one actually need an iPod to purchase?

No, all you need is iTunes, and it's a free download from Apple.

"Who are you?"
"Who? Who is but the form, following the what, and what I am is a man in a mask."
"I can see that"
"Of course you can. I am merely trying to point out the paradox of asking a masked man who he is."
