Howdy Y'all!

As the recently appointed and annointed leader for official FFF sponsored events, it is a pleasure to kick-off this shiny new space.

What we got here is a forum just for postin' about all manner of events, activities, promotions, shindigs, screenings, and so forth, that relate to Firefly and Serenity!

So if'n you got announcements, requests, ideas, suggestions, questions, and the like, then park 'em here. In addition to our ongoing support of FF/S, Browncoats all over are gearing up for a very big Summer... a quick overview ~

• Serenity Now/Equality Now. Serenity charity screenings on June 23rd taking place in several cities, in 5 countries. http://www.cantstoptheserenity.com/

• "Serenity Day" on June 23rd ~ Big day for fans to purchase Serenity DVDs, and it's the birthday for that Joss guy. This will also be the kick-off day for the Summer campaign. See the website: www.serenityday.org

• "Serenity Summer Campaign", or is it "Summer of Serenity Campaign"? Anyway, Browncoats will be promoting Firefly and Serenity via fan generated marketing, activities, events, conventions, etc. Bringin' the word to them as needs it told... there's still so many folk who don't know they're Browncoats... we gotta make sure they find out! Both the Official FFF Sponsored Events and Serenity Day Browncoat Army will be making things happen!

• "Serenity 'Versary" on September 30th ~ This is the one year anniversary of the U.S. Premiere of Serenity and the big, splashy finale day for the Summer campaign. This will be a "thank you" celebration to Universal Studios. Fans will be purchasing Serenity DVDs, officially licensed merchandise, sending thank yous to Universal, and basically celebrating the day we got our sky back.

We have plans to make and work to do, and we're only getting started!

Yea for 11th Hour! Nice to know that we can move on from all the squabbling and really get things moving!

On that note...anybody know anything about a shindig or such at the Boston screening?

Hi all,

This is my first ever post so bear with me.

As a long-time Joss fan, but only a recent Firefly addict (I saw the movie with a group of Browncoat friends when it first aired, but only recently bought the TV series box-set), I am extremely interested in the June 23rd worldwide event. I've been trying to find out anything regarding the Sydney, Australia screening, and so far have had no luck.

The various websites say that it's still in the planning stages and I can't find any mention of it on the Yahoo thread.

Can anyone please advise?
