He's not a troll. he's a longtime member of this site. his views were just poloar opposite to mine and Rose's. He didn't chose his words wisely and he upset us.
Just gotta move on is all.

I wonder sometimes about people like that. When someone's opinions are so unacceptable to a majority of people and they are told so, does it make them change, reconsider their viewpoint? Or do they just become angrier, more broken men, getting even lonelier, more frustrated?
It's sad, whichever way you look at it.

Aw, I'm sorry to hear that - I feel your pain (it's happened to me on other sites). Just ignore the trolls and they go away . . .

I think for the most part, the people become angrier, more broken, frustrated, etc . . .
PN is an extreme example, but I think it works here. 50-75% of the time when people disagree with him, he reduces himself to calling other people names or responding with awesomely intelligent epithets like "eat me".
Klan members also come to mind.

So which one of those reactions applies to Democrats?

Other people can occasionally be useful, especially as minions. I want lots of minions.

Actually Democrats just have to wait till the Republicans show their true colours then they can shove the Republican agenda right back down their throats.
Senate elections coming up soon, I hope you didn't put those wilderness clothes you were wearing 1992-2000 too far out of reach.

Heh, I'm not at all Republican, my point was that the majority isn't always right, and conversely, a minority opinion isn't always wrong. Even if it's one person arguing against a crowd of people, that doesn't mean that that person is wrong. So going back to what you said, my response would be 'neither', as long as the point of debate was a rational one and the person proposing the opposing view had a rational argument.
As a somewhat artificial example, if I went to a prayer meeting and argued with the people there about the existence of God (bad idea, I know), afterwards I wouldn't think about my viewpoint being wrong, and I wouldn't be angry and feel lonely in my viewpoint (although I would probably be frustrated by the stupidity, but that's just atheistic me).
Having said that, I'm not defending Chrismoorhead or anything. Maybe he said something truly objectionable... I haven't read it, don't care to. But you made what seemed to be a general statement and I responded in kind (although indirectly and between the lines).

Say what you will, he still seems a little trollish to me. He goes to threads looking for fights. Every post I've seen of his has been off-topic, self-centered, rude, or some combination of all three. That's unpleasant and trollish behavior. While he hasn't jacked any threads lately, he's popped up and almost tried. It has not gotten better as I've observed it.
