Give me money

Yeah, so about the title, I want to save a farm need money to do it, more money than I can get on my own, and I don't even know how to set up a way to take donations.

I don't know how many people, if any, would be willing to spend their money to help me buy some of my grandparents' farm so it won't all be sold to real-estate developers. But I figure that if anyone is willing, even one person, I should have a way to let them help. Thing is I know nothing of money transferring, I don’t even know anything about paypal.

So my question is how does one set a place to donate up?

Also, what would it take to convince you (or some hypothetical cynical person) that I want to use the money to buy a farm instead of, say, a ... well whatever an evil scam artist would buy?

Also, lets say that I did get something set up, and convince people it wasn't a scam, would anyone here be willing to pitch in? Anyone at all?

The only thing I can think of is too become a registered charity, I know little or anything of if that is possible though.

You might want to contact some known charities like the Nature Conservancy and Sierra Club. If there is any wetland or rare animals involved, they may have the resources to buy the land and spare it from developers.

and as for all of the above.. (good ideas all) you can also set up a paypal account. I'd send you some $$.. hell, I contributed to the aborted Buy the browncoat campaign... and I could send you $10 bucks too.. thats only a couple of coffees.. and I like your posts chris tho I do not know you...

so let me know when Paypal is setup.
