Fic requirements?

Hi all

I'm wondering if it's acceptable to post crossover-fic in the Blue Sun Room?

I haven't noticed any other crossover-fic, so I'll understand totally if the answer is no.

I'm writing a fic that crosses the Highlander-verse with the Firefly-verse. It's set firmly in the Firefly-verse (although it takes a few chapters before you get any recognisably cannon Firefly characters), but immortals exist; and one of my favourite cannon immortal characters (plus an immortal OC) feature alongside the crew of Serenity.

Is that the kind of thing it's OK to post, or do members prefer to stick to Firefly Universe fic only?

Hey i dont know the answer to your question im afraid, but i thought id BUMP this thread just so thoose that do will see it.

To be honest i cant see there being a problem, there mostly pretty easy going people around here, (despite the last few days)
If you cant post it here try posting over on Fanfiction.net, they except everything over there!- lol

anyway good luck with it, it sounds really interesting.

I cannot imagine why cross-over fic shouldn't be allowed.

It's Firefly fic, after all, just enhanced with something extra. :)

Original fiction and other fandom fanfic, that shouldn't be in the Blue Sun Room, but anything Firefly-related should be fine, right? Seems logical.

Of course, I have no actual say, so this is all just a bystander's opinion. *G*

I think I've seen a Firefly/Highlander crossover already in the Blue Sun Room during my perusings. And I know I've seen a Firefly/Enterprise fanfic in the Blue Sun Room.

Yay another crossover junkie!

I am another noobie who agonised over this dilemma, at I couldn't see any around the place and some people have very strong feelings about crossovers!

In the end I just went ahead and posted my Stargate SG1/ Firefly fic anyway, with a nice big warning in the synopsis so that I wouldn't get roasted in the flames!

So far I've had really good feedback. Seem's there's a small audience for our brand of insanity! You should definately try fanfiction.net aswell. The more feedback the better, I say!

So, Highlander/ Firefly, huh! Seems a match made in heaven! I'd be queueing up to read it!
