Thanks FM. I'm blabbing to everyone I can about FF/S and am currently anxiously waiting to hear what a friend has to say. She ordered FF from Netflix b/c I've been raving so hard. And we've got another pair of friends who are hooked thanks to us. Whoo-hoo!

Thanks so much for the coat! It fits even better than I had thought, and its surprisingly warm! Ive never figured out how they make these thin coats so warm...must have something to do with the BC spirit.
Its good to be here and Ill try to contribute what I can to spread the signal. Ive already ordered another copy of Firefly to give to my brother...and Im planning a firefly party for friends soon.

Hello, all! I am a newcomer to this board, was somewhat of a lurker back on the Universal "Serenity" board, but finally bowed to the peer pressure to join Fireflyfans.net.
Here's how it was: I was always a fan of "Buffy" and "Angel" but somehow missed out on the original run of FF. Finally got the DVDs through Netflix leading up to the film and fell in love with it. And with Sean Maher in particular. Went to see the film on the Friday night that it opened with my co-worker Lisa and wept like the little girl that I am. But now I have the series and the film at home to watch whenever I choose.
I've had the pleasure of meeting a few of my fellow Browncoats in person, last year at Dragon*Con (I was the one dressed as River, carrying the flag in the costume parade) and recently at the NC Ren Faire. Serenity and I were doing Kaylee impersonations all day--"Look at all the pretties!" And I'm hoping to help out with our "Serenity" screening in Raleigh in June.
Anyway, permission to come aboard? It's a little overwhelming, and it might take me a while to find my footing, but I look forward to joining in the chatter.
