I'm down with that. I dunno about the June people, though - their time is too short as it is. But if it's okay with them and nobody promotes any one DATE or anything outside FFF.net, everybody should be happy. Promoting the vote in the Browncoat community is okay, of course.
So, say, Saturday, May 6th, noon, whatever middle American time is called?
Kaele or anyone who can speak for her? That shiny with you?

Thanks for taking the time to fill me in. I really appreciate it. I voted for the June date, although knowing very little about Serenity Day at the time. I will try to participate in whatever is planned in some fashion.
I am 90% sure that HBO has the rights to Serenity. There are lot of subcribers to HBO. They have 10 million+. If it is not HBO, which I am pretty sure that it is, then its Encore which has a lot of subcribers as well. It definately will have premiered on tv by Sept, which is something that I look forward too. I thinks a lot of people will discover how great it is during this time.
All in all, I think you've made a good point. If people fall in love with it by watching it on tv and then they hear about Serenity Day, they my be more incline to buy the dvd. But I think for the most part if it comes on tv by the time there is a Serenity Day, many would be fans would have taped it already and will be less incline to buy the dvd. That is just my opinion. Whenever the day is scheduled, I will participate in some fashion. Either way, it is still a good idea.

This debacle makes little sense to me, in all honesty. Even though I've organized a charity screening, I was also going to support Serenity Day too, since I feel both can be done on the same day. However, I voted for September 30th so it would be less confusion and we would have more to look forward to in the coming year. :)
