Well, since Kaele seems nowhere to be found, and September 30th has won the vote, anyways, and nobody seems to know what is going on and everyone is waiting for something "official", here's your official: Why don't we just declare that

SEPTEMBER 30TH IS SERENITY DAY.

I mean, we're fighting and argueing for days, and there is no leadership, no, but a VOTE IN FAVOR OF SEPTEMBER 30TH, so what the hell are we waiting for?

And I mean it.

I, Agatsu, newbie, hereby declare that the will of the Browncoats after this vote is for Serenity Day to be held on September 30th.

So there.
If anyone objects, speak up now, if not, let's get going. I still don't wanna lead this thing, but seeing that we're floating in the black, SOMEONE has to "make something official".
Bash me, flame me, slash me, maim me, but for as long as nobody more capable comes along (who won't be hard to find, and I'll gladly pass the torch), I'll at least lead this thing to wherever you tell me to go.
I don't wanna take over this thing, I just want it ruttin' DONE already.

So if I'm not going to get bashed to hell for doing this outrageous thing, I'd like some volunteers to get things going again. I'd much rather be just part of a council than "leader" or something.

Well, if my maximum sexual pleasure is involved, I'm IN!

Are we still thinking Serenity Summer, with events etc kicking off right after the Equality Now viewings on June 23rd?

Kaele, we are not stealing leadership from you, If you want it back, step in and say so, But we have to work as a team if this is going to happen, and that means having the support of ALL the Browncoats, not just the ones on this board.

People seemed to like the idea, so we're going with the Serenity Summer Campaign plan with September 30th as Serenity Day, the day we end a summer (and a few days of fall) of fun with a BANG!
That is, if the majority doesn't object.
It's still a democracy, after all.
But the majority seemed to like it, so let's go.

And yes, cooperating with the other fansites is absolutely neccessary.

Hi.
Well since I will be busy with stuff(and i have a thesis to write... gorramit I procrastinate too much!!)
I cant help out now.

To help reconcile the differences, may I suggest, besides pushing for support for the charity, allowing people to buy the dvds on June 23rd, if they really want to.

Just have Sept 30th as the preferential day for the sales boost, but if you are impatient and have a good reason(have a library lined up, want to show it to some friends or give as gifts), then let them buy for june 23rd. Thats just my humble opinion.

And in terms of getting on board big sites, how about the admin of this website? I am sure serenitymovie.net would be interested. And I am sure Gossi would be in favour of pushing this if its properly managed and has a proper goal...

And what about the folks at the propero firefly board?

We don't wanna keep people from buying on June 23rd, since a lot have asked for it, but they should focus on Sept 30th if possible.
Since there's some birthdays this summer, I'll purchase some copies on June 23rd, as well, since I can't go back in time in September. So I'm all for it. It's not like we wanna keep people from doing something. We're all reasonable about this. Just please don't start a June 23rd buying frenzy, because Serenity Day will fail if not enough people buy the DVD on that day. That was the point.

Okay, so here we go (again):
If ANYONE from the old council is reading this, or the people who already had their missions, like the signal corps, etc., please post here and let's reorganise and get going again, (if you're down with "The Plan" TM).
And new volunteers are always welcome, too. I'll post a new plan of what we need done when I get back in a few hours, and then we can assign volunteers. We need a few more comments on this, anyways.

I'm off for a few hours, and really interested in how this is gonna develop.

Always remember... we're all in this together. Play nice.

Yeah...well some of us...would like to see this campaign evolve in a different direction...and while Kaele is the leader, a good chunk of the people who voted in that thread, wanted a change(majority). Unless Kaele's vote is more important(is she worth 10 votes, or 200?) than any of the others... it is still the case.

one important thing to note is that amazon tracks by orders not by items so if you want to move something up their ranking make four orders for one dvd not one order for five dvd's

I read this in an article about people trying to move a book up in amazons ranking the following is a quote from a blog talking about the article (nissley is the senior books editor at amazon.
