I do not support any racist agenda from the KKK or neo-Nazis or whoever... Just thought I'd throw out this factoid that may clear the fog a bit.
A PBS documentary on the Black Plague researched an amazing thing: medieval records showed that some people never got the plague no matter how long they were exposed. Turns out these people -- they exhumewd their remains and did a DNA analysis of them -- had a specific mutation on their #32 chromosome, which it also turns out prevents people from getting AIDS / HIV.
Now this group of medieval plague survivors in England lived and had kids, etc. etc. and their descendants -- especially if both parents had this #32 chromosome mutation -- are now immune to AIDS. Who's to say this same #32 mutation didn't occur in other ethnic groups? One would have to do a detailed global DNA analysis of population groups that have suffered from Black Plague to see if a similar pattern of survivors emerges. Could be just that Blacl Plague is a predominantly Northern European affliction due to climate. Don't know.
So rather than segregate blacks from whites under some unproven assumption that only some whites are safe, we should identify all people with this #32 chromosone mutation and encourage them to mate with people who don't. Gee, wouldn't that just piss off the KKKers and Neo-Nazis to no end? Gotta love it...
What truly amazes me is how people cam still see people as being "colored" and therefore "better" or "inferior" -- such nonsense! Did you know that there is a closer DNA similarity between Aborigines in Australia with Norwegians than there is between Aborigines and Black Africans? From a DNA point of view, skin color is one of the least percentage factors in racial similarity in the humane genome, and any correlations between skin color and intelligence or any other trait aside from protection from UV is simply ludicrous and -- well, naturally, racist.
Some people want to be racists cuz it gives them someone else to blame for whatever they perceive is wrong with the world (i.e. it's the Jews / Blacks / Mexicans / Catholics fault) or for whatever shitty hand of cards they've been dealt.
What saddens me is that there seems to be a percentage (small thankfully) of Firefly fans who are really Confederate throw-backs hoping the South will rise again, or that some gleefully cleansing race war will ensue (which they and all their guns can take part in) and solve their world-view discrepancy.
Here's another factoid for yah: something like 25% of all white people in America have "black" blood in them and don't know it. Heck I'm betting most white people got all kinds of "different colored" blood in them and don't know it. The whole idea of racial purity is a myth, period. Hitler was part Jewish, right? How come he wasn't the first one in the gas chambers...
Last note: in the Light spectrum, white is the mixture of all the colors. That's why we got rainbows and different colored folks in this here 'Verse -- so we can appreciate different colors as being cool and beautiful.

I've been around. I've been plenty busy doing plenty of damage to myself and fighting my own demons in an attempt to makes some sort of sense out of this current life as we know it, but I'm still here.
I've come to the state of mind where one has to choose a side. There comes a time when we all have to choose a side. The sides that promote life, love and independence, or the sides that subscribes to control and subjugation, and dominance...I have chosen the side that fights evil and ignorance, and promotes life and love.
PirateNews is just another alarmist fool who wishes to set people at each others throats. He does nothing more than that...an alarmist. I hate alarmists.
His views regarding black people are interesting. The current media takes the small number of blacks…last count was around 42 million. They focus on the whole load of young thugs, which are around 900,000, who appear to don’t give a damn about anyone, and they kill, murder, and do drugs. No one ever mentions the 2 million white young thugs who are engaging in the same activity.
What about the other 41,100,000 blacks? The ones who pay their taxes, go to their jobs, buy their homes, and pretty much are silent and want to be left alone? The news media never talks about, or reports them, so America gets to experience the so-called black experience based on all the thugs out there. And no one says a damned thing about it because they WANT to believe that ALL black people are bad an evil. I guess a large society needs a bad guy in order to have a unifying issue.
People like Piratenews takes advantage of this, and so do politicians during voting time, and a lot of whites and Asians fall for this every time. Just my view, but I am so sick and tired of people pointing the finger at races. There is not one race on this planet that has not indulged in some sort of social atrocity, or some form of forced relocation at one time or another. None of us are innocent.
I rather pay attention to those seals who are singing and walking about on my ceiling….sometimes I wish they would shut up.

Yup. Same applies to media presentation of, and a lot of people's perception of, Islam. While there are fanatics (always politically motivated, especially Osama bin Laden.. you know... that CIA-trained "freedom-fighter-friend" of America during the Soviet-Afghan war...) the majority of Muslims are peace-loving. Just like most Christians, Buddhists, Jews, etc. But put yourself in the Iraqi position... if some foreign gov't invaded our country to "save" us from the cruel dictator THEY backed for 20 years prior, plus now there was a power vacuum where the majority population could now take power, what do you think would happen?
The Bushites and fundi-Christians WANT a global Armagedon with Islam so the Muslims can be destroyed and these neo-con-fundi Christians (KKKers, W.A.R., et al) can take over everything -- especially Jerusalem and the Arab oil fields.
Does anyone honestly think Bush doesn't have top mid-east advisors who've predicted the civil war in Iraq and WANT that destabilization to warrant U.S. occupation and control of the oil fields? Am I the only guy who remembers Bush coming on TV at the start of the Iraq invasion and point-blank telling the Iraqi people: "please, don't destroy your oil wells." (Gotta think Karl Rove bitch-slapped GW good over that little faux pas...)
The U.S. has a long history of using military might to protect its economic interests. Just look at every civil war / act of genocide that has occured where we HAVEN'T sent in the Marines, like 1915 in Armenia, 1994 in Rwanda and {until the very end) Bosnia/Kosovo. All cases where we knew genocide was happening, but we did essentially nothing. No oil or sugar or bananas to "protect."
You watch. In 50 years or less, Gearge W will be acknowledged as a War criminal & the worst president who ever stole 2 elections in a row. Yeah, I know, he's a puppet... but he's OUR puppet.
