Okay - I get what this thread is all about. Gloating!!
*laughs* I'm sooo jealous of everyone who got to see it first time around. Even if it was out of sequence. I was missing out until last summer - that years of no firefly, no BDH's - how did I survive???

I transferred my old Firefly tapes to dvd about a month ago, but not the complete episodes. I just copied the Fox Friday promos, the Book/Mal narration intros, the previews for the next episode at the end of the show, and the little promo that played about halfway through each episode. It's good to have all the little knick knacks that go along with Firefly. So now when I get real sentimental, I can pretend it's 2002 all over again.
By the way, does anyone remember when Fox played Serenity last? The show was officialy cancelled at that point, but the week before they aired Serenity they plugged the hell out of it. all ten weeks, no plugs, it gets cancelled, and Every other commercial on Fox was about "the 2 hour Firefly event". Was Fox just spitting in our faces or is their logic just reversed?
I can't beleve I'm still mad at Fox after all these years. I want a season 2 Dammit!

Yup. I remember. I remember watching every episode and being in awe the entire time. And than I remember coming up on the last few weeks of the show. All the cries of the fans. All the sweat that went into trying to save the show. I will never forget it. But I'm happy that I got to see it when it was born. I loved every minute of it.

We also like muppet's here in Blighty, but it is also used an almost pleasant degoritory term.
You never know who is reading these posts and we won't want to offend the young'uns, although listening to some of the music my son likes I could only offend them if we took their mp3's and phones away, and maybe applied a bit of tar and some feathers.

I remember sitting down to surf the cable, and Captain Mal caught my eye. The scene from "the TRAIN JOB" when SERENITY rises up behind our crew sent chills down my spine....I WAS HOOKED!!!! I started calling my friends and family and begged them to watch. When the show was cancelled I mourned aplenty. I thought I was the only person who watched the show. I couldn't find anyone who was a fan[FIREFLY? never heard of it]. Cut to last August. I'm in Barnes and Noble and there on the display in front of me is the DVD FIREFLY box set!! I was stunned . I started grabbing strangers arms and telling them about the show. Purchased TWO sets and raced home to watch them. Yeah, just like the first time....Shiney.

Never got the chance to watch it on TV properly as it has never really aired over here in the UK.
I am extremely bitter about that... Damn them 
Dark Angel, Firefly, Buffy, Angel, Enterprise, Farscape... anything else you'd like to cancel?
