Yes. It doesn't exist.
Truly, if you watch the series and the film while paying extra attention to that whole area in front of the consoles(use the pause, even) you can see that it changes a lot over time.

yep i finally just noticed that today as I was watching serenity, now I understand what Kaylee was talking about in "Our Mrs. Reynolds" when she said "she fused both entrances". That door apparantly goes to the front section of the bridge.

I agree. It's probably the front section of the bridge.
I think Joss mentions in the special feaaturs that there are stairs in front fo the pilots chairs leading down the that section. It's either in one of his commentaries (probably Serenity pilot) or "the 10th crew member" featurette, but I'm pretty sure he mentions this somewhere.
Either that, or I invented a memory, which is kinda wierd.

Ok,
We have seen the toilet. And the sinks and we have seen Inara take a sponge bath. We KNOW there are no baths, because Zoe longs for one. Being a lover of hygiene myself - Can I just say that I HOPE fervently that the unused door is the shower room.

Wait where are the toilets then?
Also I remembered that there are showers coming off of the kitchen/dining room where River was chained up in. And Jayne walked in saying "I'm going to have a nice shower"
Oh yeah I knew of the stairs down to the very front of the ship but I can see why people thing that the door leads to it yet there are 2 doors just to get to the pilot area, straight after each other.

The toilets fold into the wall. You see the Captain buttoning his tightpants and then floding the toilet up.
I will have to look for the showers! Thanks. I feel much cleaner now. I was going to have to load up on babywipes and hand sanitizer !
