The gag reel on the extras seems to be a lot shorter than the downloadable version.

I ordered mine from dvdboxoffice, however no word from them yet. I´ll just hope it will arrive in time for the holydays.

What is the "downloadable gag-reel" you´re referring to?

I got the DVD set tonight the picture quality is awesome. I just finished watching Serenity on a three and a half meter projector screen and I am over the moon with joy! Having only seen the Firefly on SVCDs created from mpgs that I downloaded I was amazed by the detail and quality of the special effects and the image in general. FANTASTIC! I can't wait to get the new Battlestar Galactica mini-series on DVD. If the effects are this good it is going to kick ass.

I should also mention seeing the cast in hi-resolution on a big screen made me very happy. Bring on the movie!

The best show in the vers!

On the one hand, i want to say "Huzzah!" but mostly my response would have to be

I hate you.

But I mean that in the nicest way possible

On the one hand, I want to say "Huzzah!" and "Good for you!" and even "Fabulous!" but mostly my response would have to be...

I hate you.

But I mean that in the nicest way possible

(has time slowed down for anyone else here, or is it just me?)

My love of loaded247 grows daily. Ordered on Sunday, confirmed and dispatched on monday, arrived on tuesday.

All is well with the world ... except for the fact that theyve butchered the gag reel to a fraction of its length by removing the funniest bits, but im too happy to care right now. Does anyone else think the picture of Book on the second disc is way cool

I'm also in the UK and got mine today, bringing to an end several days of rushing down the stairs at breakneck speed each morning at the slightest sound of activity around the postbox :-)

I ordered from www.movietyme.com, who I would highly recommend having been a happy customer of theirs for a long time now. They are a US company but dispatch from the UK, so no customs duties, and they also have a habit of sending out the goods as soon as they receive their stock. I had the LOTR "Two Towers" extended gift set three weeks early and have also been admiring the "Alien Quadrilogy" set on my shelf for a couple of weeks. Now, at last, comes the box set I've been waiting for all year. SHINY!

My early impressions of the "Firefly" set are fantastic. Stunning picture quality, expansive widescreen transfers and, unusually for a box set, nice packaging. I especially like the use of proper slimline Amaray cases to house each disc. These discs sure will be taking a hammering so it's good to know that they will be properly protected :-)

Glanced through all the episodes tonight and some of the extras. It's a sweet, sweet package.

Overall, I can't believe my luck at getting the set early. Quite a few seem to be arriving now. One of my work colleagues even had his yesterday.

The watch-through, beginning to end, commences tomorrow! :-)

Regards,

Ade

Seeing as Sam Goody is part of Musicland, which also owns Suncoast Video, I called the closest Suncoast this morning from work and the girl there told me that the preorder price is $19.99 if I came in and put down $5. So guess where I was at lunchtime.
