If the series continued, how would YOU place the chronology???

Ok, it's an obvious crime against all humanity for the cancellation of Firefly, but putting that aside for now lets look at how things could have been.

By ONLY taking the occurances after the end of Firefly to the end of Serenity (including the comics), where would you place the continuity?

On a side note, there will be SPOILERS, so if you have not read the comics, or the seen the movie yet, do not read on!!!!

So, by taking what happened in the comics and what happened in the movie and placing them as if they were in the series, what would happen when?

Such as:

-Book and Inara leaving (as seen in the comics)
-the death of the Blue Hands (as seen in the comics)
-the return of and death of Agent Dobson (as seen in the comics)
-the appearance of the Operative
-Book and Wash's deaths
-Mal kicking Simon and River off the ship
-River going crazy in the bar
-the appearance of Mr. Universe
-the appearance of Fanty and Mingo
-the final fight with the Reavers

....and so forth, I think you get the idea.

I'll get things going here by saying that I think Shepard Book would have left in the Season 1 finale, as well as the re-appearance of Dobson and the death of the Blue Hands.

I also think the Operative would show up in the Season 1 finale, or Season 2 premere (al la "Buffy" style with the Big Bads).

So, to restate where would you place notable occurances in the Firefly timeline UP UNTIL THE END OF SERENITY.

And by no means, should you stick to the plot of the movie or comics. Be creative, and state what you think logically would have happened and where it would have happened (such as mid season one, or season 2: episode 12 for example) before the end of season 2, such as sub-plots (ie- what's up with Inara, further explanation of the Blue Hands/Blue Sun).

I'm guessin' you meant to post this in 'general ' forum, and not the Angel Arcanum.

I checked it out to see maybe if you knew something we didn't ? There's been rumors of Spike coming to the screen in some manner, presumably in stuff BEFORE the end of Angel. If it was 'after'..... yeah, never mind.

As for Firefly, I really haven't given it much thought.

Got the comics
Got the dvd.
Hmm..

If there was a Spike DVD movie, it'd probably take place after the series (hey, it's possible!) because Amy Acker has mentioned a few times that Joss would like her to play Illyria in it. So that's definitely pretty time-specific unless Illyria can get her time travel powers back.

My speculation is this.

-the appearance of Fanty and Mingo
-Inara leaving (as seen in the comics)
-the appearance of Mr. Universe
-the return of Agent Dobson (as seen in the comics)
-the appearance of the Operative (months or a season or 2 before Miranda)
-Book's Death
-the discover of Miranda
-Wash's deaths
-Mal kicking Simon and River off the ship
-River going crazy in the bar
-the final fight with the Reavers
-Season 4 begins with a new war for independence and maybe the shocking destuction of the Serenity like in the film
-the death of the Blue Hands (as the series finale)

I think if Fanty and Mingo and Mr Universe make their apperance it would be earlier than they did. I have to wonder if Mr. Universe would even be necessary there is a better more intersting way to deal with Miranda's message, like tell all former indenpdents and start a new war. Book might not have left at all, he left the ship because of story it's difficult to make a movie with 9 character and an amazing story like that in the BDM. Look at what happened to the Mal/Inara story line. So I have to wonder if Book would have died at all. I think the Hands of Blue would have played a bigger part of the story, I doubt they would have died untill much later but I think there is still more of those guys out there hunting River for there own reasons.
