Where would these be located? I'm in the Southeast.

Right here, Anjulie!

Where in the Southeast are you? If you're in the NC/SC area, I also invite you to here:

We occasionally have get togethers and all are invited! We're talking about having some event in Charlotte in the summer.

And, welcome to all the newbies! We're so very glad you're here!

Hey, Scametti!

Welcome to the ranks.

I know there's at least one organized group of Browncoats in Oregon, I think in Eugene. If you go to Yahoo groups and do a search for Browncoats, Firefly, Oregon, you'll probably find them.

In the meantime, welcome and keep flyin'!

CALLMESERENITY

Thank you for all the shiny links for Browncoats and your LJ. Cookies, Jesus, chocolate, fountain pens! We have things in common!

I live about four hours west of Charolotte, one hour southwest of Asheville. I could make something there.

sweet! Glad to meet you!

Hey, if you have an LJ, feel free to friend me! I like shiny browncoat friends.

And I live 2.5 hrs from Charlotte, so I'm sure if I can make it, you can, too!

Yep, I agree 100% - new people are good, and it's always nice seeing them find their way home. Plus, it shows that the signal is spreading - and that's exactly what we need!

EDIT If people want to follow a particular discussion, why not just bookmark that thread (or copy and past the link into a word document) - then if it gets bumped off, you can still find it quickly and easily. That's what I do.

There's another reason not to try to steer all the new folks into one thread. It would soon grow to ridiculous lengths!

But since a few of you recruits have found this one, let me say: Welcome one and all! We love new people, they all have stories. And it makes no difference whether you answered YES in the "Did you watch it on Fox" thread, or found it yesterday. If your coat is a brownish color, you're one of us.

I don't disagree on any particular point.

Hey there
I am not a newbie been a browncoat essentially for a year now(yikes!), I post on this site rarely... not often more on the other forums... however...I jsut wanted to say welcome to the newbies I agree we need as many new fans as possible(and for them to interest other people to become fans)...and in terms of checking out local sites..

go to http://www.bigdamnboard.com they have a great listing for local groups.

Plus for oregon I believe there is a group, this was on that website:

PDX Browncoats - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pdxbrowncoats/
A great place for Portland, Oregon/Vancouver, Washington area Browncoats to meet, chat, plan shindigs, and count down the days, minutes, seconds 'till the BDM!

Regards,
Prakash
