Just noticed a new Joss Whedon interview at scifi.com. He talks a bit more on why Firefly was cancelled, his love of the DVD, and of his plans for the future.
Also, you can learn Joss' new word for fox - "glemphy"

You may or may not know this, but Joss originally used the word in coded messages to fans on The Bronze to let them know he appreciated them and their efforts. This coded message was:
"I FEAR THE GLEMPHY MAN"
Which is kinda interesting in a weird cosmic way in that a few years later in 2002, the Glemphy Man brought about Firefly's untimely end on FOX.

Excellent interview. Any news from Joss or about Firefly always livens up the day a bit.
"May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one."
