Sooner. Sooner. Sooner would be better!
...but I'm patient. Really.

Well it certainly nice to have something, and thats the best something we've had in a while.
anyone notice the smile on his face when he talks about loving to do more firefly stuff.
thats the kinda thing that gives hope.
Were holding, and we always will.
well done on finding that rach.

Dying ain't bad for the person dying, just for those left behind.
As sad as it may be, good stories always originate from tragedy. No bad stuff happening - no interesting story.
I once had this fun theory that God is a storyteller, and the reason there's so much shit happening on this rock is because the story needs to keep going. At least until the great finale or the abrupt cancellation.
Maybe God is going to wake up in the shower one day and realize we were all just a dream.
I am soooo off-topic, but I'm in a philosophical mood.
And for all it's worth, I'm sorry to hear that about your dad, Zoid. I lost my grandma last year, and it was the first time I was confronted with death in such a way and comprehended it, and standing at her grave made me realize that my own parents won't be around forever, which is a very sobering thought. But I guess I don't have to tell you that.
Apart from all this musing, it really IS nice to see that Joss can't really let go off Firefly, either. The story has to go on.

For me, it's all just people. The good, the bad, the interesting and the ugly. Love 'em all.
By the way, darlins, you can link to a Nathan interview on that site.

Yupp, Im not giving up on Firefly or Serenity(even though they killed of muh fav character) Why give up now? When we just finally got some feedback with the creation of the Serenity movie. It would be all for nothing if the lines were to break apart now!

Can I saw right now I love you. Joss has now said in a recent interview that the verse isn't done. He just doesn't know what format it will be in. Let's push even harder for Serenity day so we all can enjoy the format.

Always good to hear it from his mouth. Seems like he's just a bit too popular in hollywood these days though. He's got two more movies to handle before he can even think of doing anything in the verse? Not a good sign for getting Firefly Season 2 next week huh? Darn. OK I can handle 2 weeks from now.
You know...I'm not to partial to the kind of irony where hollywood wants Joss to do things for them yet they don't want him to do one of the things he wants to do.

Sure, it's no Joss, but some of us Browncoats are holding the line in our own way over at www.stillflying.net, with a virtual continuation of the series. Our aim is to remain as true as possible to Mister Whedon's vision and feel. Our goal with season two is to reinterpret "Serenity" as if Whedon had been given 22 episodes to tell the tale instead of just two hours.
So far, we've produced scripts for 9 episodes (the last 7 of season one, and the first 2 of season two), with our next episode due out any day.
Hope some of you will drop on by and check out our little project. And if the organizers of 6/23 get in touch with me directly (gwek@optonline.net), we can showcase the day on our site.
Keep flying!

Thanks. I hope you are tolerating your own loss well.
Since you brought up philosophy: I reckon everything that gets born, dies. No escaping that. On the other hand, not everyone truly lives. They get caught up in fear, and rules like a straightjacket, and then wonder in their later years where their lives have gotten to.
So take risks. Speak your mind. Never leave love unspoken. Never carry a grudge or hatred in your heart.
My dad lived like that. He answered every bell and fought Life to a game draw. When he died, I was happy for him to find his peace, and was proud to have known him, to have been his son.
I only wish he could've learned not to fight Life so much. He might have enjoyed his time more had he learned to love Life a little more...
Respectfully,
zoid
P.S.
Sometimes the more you struggle the worse things get. Think of swimming against an undertow. But it can be hard to let go, to trust that we are sufficient (buoyant), and to just float on Life's gentle currents until trouble passes and we are effortlessly pushed to shore.
