Serenity Snubbed By NPR
Here is the link to the NPR report on the deput of hd-dvd:
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5345489
They list 3 other films but no mention of Serenity.
This is great oppurtunity to run an email campaign and get Serenity mentioned when they run corrections and updates to stories.
http://www.npr.org/contact/ (select the npr radio button - it was aired during morning edition)
Million Dollar Baby, The Phantom of the Opera, The Last Samurai
were the warner movies listed as being the only movies available on the launch date.

Well... Universal made Serenity, not Warner Bros. so that might be why they didn't mention it.

I realize that, but they make the statement that those will be the only hd-dvds available, which is not correct.... so the mistake will have to be addresed and to our benefit.

Great find Lincoln.
I just "Corrected" them with an email myself.
I hope other Browncoats do the same, NPR likes a good underdog story. If they get enough comments on the HD-DVD oversite I could see them making the response it's own story.
Come on all you other NPR fans...(and if you aren't who would know if you just pretended to be one).
... I'm in.

Again, IF you want to make a big impact in a short amount of time, this is a request to keep Serenity/Firefly "front and center" of the listening public. Listen to and respond to this article that was aired on NPR. Its an email form, takes a few minutes...???

I just sent them an email. Need to call all Browncoats!
Nathan doesn't know it yet, but I am his one true love! Is that weird?
(he will believe, he will believe)

I'm confused. All the site mentioned was what I quoted below:
"The first High-Definition DVDs go on sale Tuesday. It is the first shot in an emerging format battle among next-generation DVD players."
does this mean they changed the site's article already?

You have to click on the "Listen" button to listen to the broadcast, it's not there in print.
Check by the way, I sent my own e-mail.
One day.
One plan.
One crew of Browncoats.
On June 23rd, we aim to misbehave
