Hi everybody,

Hope too many others haven't spotted and posted this. My wife and I were watching Trash for the 'umpteenth' time (and still loving every minute of it) when the geek in me spotted it. Something was amiss in the scene where Jayne and Kaylee are on top of Serenity. Just after Kaylee reprograms the board for the trash unit, and just as Jayne starts to attempt to put the board back in place, freeze the DVD and go VERY slowly.

The monitor just to Jayne's left (which HAD a BlueSun label on it) now shows a Windows XP hardware installation wizard.)

I'm sorry I don't have a way to post the screen capture. If someone from the boards wants to contact me I will email to them for uploading.

Keep Flying!!

Ha! That's hilarious. I just got a capture, it's actually the same installation wizard screen before Kaylee reprograms it. Sadly I do not know how to upload (yet) either. Good catch!

Yeah - my husband (who is one of the Macintosh faithful) noticed it right away.

Then we had a whole discussion of how maybe Microsoft became Blue Sun....since we often spend time discussing the evils of Microsoft!

LOL!!

From "Blue Screen [of Death]" to "Blue Sun"? Works for me!

LMAO, actually that looked like windows 2000 to me. I didn't notice it until you mentioned it.

I'm pretty sure that my husband said that he saw a spot where something actually blue-screened.

Guess I'll be watching Trash tonight to find out. (Always any excuse to watch Firefly two nights in a row!)

I saw that the second time i watched this episode.
The frightening thing is that, 500 years in the future, the GUI still looks the same ;).

I just assumed it was windows 98 SE, because that was the best OS, and will continue to be for at least another 500 years...

I wonder if they cryogenically froze Bill Gates (like what Simon did to River) and opened him up 500 years in the future......

"can we vote on the whole killing people issue?"

....hmm I don't have any possible reasoning besides time/money to get a futuristic computer scene. But then again, since it's a rigged program, it could be using a different OS (an older one since they're cheaper to get).

But umm we might have to ask the officials on this.
