There is a door in senernity that is never opened, here are some pictures(its on the left)

I've worked out from the bonus features of serenity that the first picture, the door is a way out of the set. In the second pic, I think it's the same. However, casting that aside what do you think could be behind those doors if Firefly/Serenity were real?

*edit* not sure what happened to the second pic

I think that door leads to the foredeck, the very bow of the ship. It's the same area that the stairs at the front of the bridge probably lead to. We never see it in the series, but IIRC in the movie we see Mal coming up from it with supplies. It's mentioned in the epsode "Out of Gas" when Jayne says "I prepped a suit for you. It's hanging in the foredeck".

As for what's there, my guess is that it's mostly used for storage. Also, could house Serenity's electronics suite, or could have a small workshop for machining parts and the like.

I'm with Schooner about it being a door to the lower area of the bridge (foredeck).
In Our Mrs. Reynolds it's mentioned that Saffron sealed up *both* doors to the bridge, though we see her directly sealing only one.

When I was watching Objects in Space I noticed while they were searching the ship, the suits were in the cargo hold, inside its container.

However with OMrs R, I can now see how that works but we only saw her seal one and then she left. The two doors if you may have noticed are however just after each other i.e you have to go through the door at the top of the stairs and then have to go through another one. You can notice this some times.

Yes, they are normally in the cargo hold. That's why Jayne told Mal where he put the suit, where Mal could get at it after sealing up the rest of the ship and keeping the air to the area of the bridge.

It could be a closet / locker or even a toilet for bathroom breaks for whoever is stationed on the bridge.

Actually a bathroom sounds much more plausable since theres clearly not enough space in the shuttles or crew or guest quarters. It is also the only place in the ship that hasn't been shown so it must be a bathroom.

Also the door in the first picture, you can't see through the window. Every other door with a window in, you can see through all the others except this one.

It's the now infamous crew lounge. You can get to it one of two ways, either down the short stairs from the foredeck hall (as seen in the pics) or by going down the stairs on the bridge between the two pilot stations.

In one of the commentary tracks ( I suspect for the original pilot )someone said that there was originally a couch down there and that it was a good place to hang out between takes. Once they decided to use the rounded section off the kitchen for a lounge the couch got moved to the area just off the infirmary (passenger lounge.)

I just dont think that they need to have an extra door for that tho. Also why have doors that you cant see through.
