OK - I normally just lurk here but I am coming out of the shadows of Inara's shuttle to put my money where my mouth is....

The UK has just got to do something for 23rd June! We cannot let a country of former colonials (no offence intended) out-do us!

I am willing to try and put something together, but I can't do it alone. I need a squad of volunteers... or failing that, some companions... is there anyone else out there in UK-land???

I'd even go as far as putting together a charity screening, but if we talk about it, I'll go along with anything. I just think it'd be a shame if we didn't try.

One day.
One plan.
One army of Browncoats.

On June 23rd, we aim to misbehave.

There's a UK Browncoat from Leeds who was talking about a possible screening.

Hey all, I'm a 'damn Yankee', but I'm in charge of 'Spam the Signal' to promote Serenity Day on June 23rd. If any of you are interested in contacting Yahoo! Groups and posting on message boards to promote UK Screenings or just general sales it's a great way to bridge the pond if you've got limited time! Please contact me at seiryuu_@hotmail.com I'd love to have an internation force because you guys know the Brit groups better than I ever will. Thanks!

*We now return you to our thread already in progess*

Another UK Browncoat wanting to plan
a screening

http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=19855

"central london"
"But I need some idea of numbers prepared to come and prices prepared to pay.
Further more, some sort of working group would be nice, I'd like other peoples input. "

If we are still at the choosing a city stage, can I suggest somewhere like Manchester? Its central, and a lot closer to Scottland than London is, which mean that Northern Browncoats would have a much easier time getting there. As far as I know they have a cimema that plays older and popular movies like The Prince Charles down in London does.

I wanted to suggest that I arrange a screening in Liverpool for northeners etc, but Manchester would make a much better location.

I'm willing to help make any other screening happen in any way I can though, so just ask if you think you can make use of me.

KermieMal, I never Know what the heck you're talking about.
FozzieWash, Hey, look! They're sending us free lumber!

I'll second that. London's a little to far for me to travel (North westerner myself) but Manchester would be good. Maybe the Scots could come to that one too.

If people are interested I'll look into possible venues
