as a mid 20's ohioan, growing up i never really watched Docotor Who ( even though it was on pbs like 24/7) but am now watching the new series on scifi, and downloading eps off the 'net.( sci fi is airing "dalek" in a few days, i've seen up to "father's day") but the question is..,
what is with the term "bad wolf" i've seen it pop up like 3 time s already.
1) kid paints it on the side of the tardis in " aliens of london"
the other 2 in spoliers just to be on the safe side for us americans

2) In "dalek" - when the rich guy who owns all the alien shit , when his helicopter lands you hear a raido transmission "the bad wolf is down"
3) and it popped up somewhere else in either "the long game" , or "father's day"

so... what gives??

Freaky weird. My wife and I just had a conversation about the whole Badwolf meaning. Almost like someone's messing around with Time and Space.

And yes, all becomes clear.

In "The Unquiet Dead" Gwyneth also has a line to Rose about, "All the things you have seen...the darkness...the big bad wolf."
Mickey, and several other people make more subtle comments about the Doctor's ears (as in, "My what big ears you have" from Little Red Riding Hood).

All is revealed by the end of the season

Don't hold your breath. It's a rubbish explanation, sorry. A big, interesting build-up that leads to a lame, lazy, WTF? reason.

Because it really is.

WHOS afraid of the Big Bad Wold, the Big Bad Wolf, the Big Bad Wolf, WHOS afraid of the Big Bad wolf, fra lalalala….”

I do wish the expiation given in the end actually had something to do with that fine piece of annoying children’s rhyme…

Who do you suppose is in there?
