Serenity, absolutely no problem at all!

Isn't obsessive a character trait of the Browncoats? (And I do mean that in a good way.) Well, maybe "enthusiastic" would be a better description?

And yes, Seryn, I forget things all the time. Heck, reading several of the threads in here led me to re-watch most of Firefly just looking for the things I missed the first (twenty) times.

Holding until you get back , Captain.

At dinner after the RenFaire we were joking about how we needed a check off list for when we used quotes from the show/movie. I've been able to use quite a few in everyday life.

I use Beez-way! (or however it's spelled) with my kids in my band. For some reason, it really works.

And, I work in a church. One day my pastor was being very silly, come into my office and said something just off the wall, and I put my hand out and said "Keep walkin', preacher man!" and of course instantly regretted the lack of an appreciative audience.

Heh, heh, heh. I let loose at work one day with "ching-wah tsao duh liou mahng"...one of my co-workers said "You alright in there?" She did not know what I said, nor did she ask. We all break out with some sort of curse now and again, and seldom are they really intelligible.

There is nobody around here (that I have found yet) that is a Browncoat. My wife will humor me sometimes by quoting Firefly and patronizing me when I do, but it's not the same as having someone from the general populace recognize your references.

Holding until you get back , Captain.

I once managed to use the line 'don't forget to call him sir, he likes that' on my boss.

And then instantly regretted it, cause if it doesn't involve The Wicker Man, it apparently doesn't warrent an obse... enthusiasm.

My turn to be lost....Wicker Man? The only thing I know about that is you fill them with your enemies and set it on fire...I assume that is not still done?

I'm game. What do you suggest for an apporpriate 'R' word?

Its a film from the seventies. That Christopher guy who always played Dracula is the lord of this pagan island of the coast of scotland, and they lure in some policeman from the mainland when he arrives to investigate the disappearence of some girl.

Most notorious for the sex and nudity, the stripper they got in to double for Britt Eklands bum and the inhabitants of Summer Isle bursting into folk songs about genitals every five seconds.

Along with Zulu its his favorite film ever, he can quote it verbatim and knows all of the songs and their origins word for word, he only bought a DVD player when the film came out in that format, and sooner or later if you talk to him the subject will come up.

But apparently i'm the geek. Go figure.

Zulu I know...may have to check out this Wicker Man.
I think he may be jealous because not only do we have a (partial) series, but we also have a BDM; all he has is one little movie! So, hah on him!
