I tried to take a few people to the british grocer last night. They'd never been and wanted tea and I wanted twirls (they were out last time I was there-grrrr.) and the place was CLOSED! They closed at 6p and we were there at 6:15p. Life is so very trying.

I had a party where it rained and all the men stood out on the porch huddled under this little tiny overhang where the little tiny grill was shoved.
Why must men hover around a grill? I've always wondered this. What is the entertainment in watching meat cook?
