Not my usual fare, but I will be adding this to my collection once it's out on DVD!

Me, too!
This film is packed with information you can't collect in one viewing. Partly it's the fast and furious pace of some sections and partly it's the wealth of detail that Gunn puts in the background of so many shots.
This is on my DVD list and I plan to give the Pause button a serious workout.

Bun,
I got my Entertainment Weekly magazine today and they have a The Must List... kinda their pop culture- this is what we're all doing if we're cool thing. Guess what is at the top, #1?! SLITHER! That's right, fellow 'coats,
our Cappy's movie.
So go, and see it and make it a big hit, cuz it deserves to be on so many levels.

FM, too bad EW didn't put that out *last* week. Not sure the film will be in theaters much longer, so how many EW-readers get to be cool?
Good reviews, no crowds. Grrrr.

Bun,
My daughter and her boyfriend came home from seeing friends and they said everyone is talking about Slither... how funny it is and how everyone should go see it. If young people are talking about it.. it's gonna be seen for a little while longer.
I have faith that this film has word of mouth going for it.

James Gunn (SLiTHER director) reported this on website http://www.jamesgunn.com/index.html too.

Firstly, SLiTHER was listed this week as #1 on Entertainment Weekly's "Must List." "
So I ran out to the store to buy EW and you
subscribers must get the next issue first.
Is the EW issue you are talking about #872?
Whoops, found FOLLOWMAL's answer on the Appreciatin' Nathan thread at www.serenitymovie.org
And here is the FOLLOWMAL's cover pic:

Entertainment Weekly #872 April 14th.
Issue #871 has a review of SLiTHER.
I wonder how many subscribers EW has.

Bumpin' this for Birthday Boy...
Seriously, 'coats, this flick needs to be seen in a theater first, unless you have the all-time Huge Screen (10' diagonal might do, and full blackout conditions except for the EXIT sign) Surround-Sound home theater.
*Then* you can get the DVD and wolf down steak tartare while watching.
This probably won't be on screens much if anywhere past this week.
The good news is that the production budget (according to James Gunn)was only 15 million USD, so even with marketing $ included it could make its money back sooner than Serenity.

Theaters are making their decision.
Please see SLiTHER during this week and
it may last another weekend.

I saw Slither the night it came out and it was fantastic! I was in WVa for a funeral and was able to see it. Good thing too - the closest theater to my house is over an hour away!
I would love to see it again. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

OM, I went through considerable hell and misery to get there and back, and there was recuperating afterward. It was well worth it to see it in the theater (surely the shocks work better) and I've got the DVD on my buy list.
