Any fans of one Stephen Colbert in the audience? I gotta say, this show is certainly the reason why I am awake at 3am, watching clips off Comedy Central.

A friend of mine put it best I think: "The difference between Colbert and the Daily Show is that while both shows demonstrate the absolute ridiculousness of the world, Colbert does it by adopting the POV of the ridiculous and playing it up."

I just finished watching a bunch of segments, among them the Harvey Mansfield interview. There is something indescribably amusing about watching Stephen keep a straight face while the guy sitting across from hum, oblivious to the mockery of the whole thing, espouses his belief in archaic, prejudiced attitudes. Sometimes I find it hard to believe that these interviews aren't staged to make these people look dumb. So hilarious... I'd love to know exactly how he gets guests to come on his show.

I love Stephen Colbert! I don't have much time to watch the show but when I do it's always good. I remember when I first heard he was getting his own show- I got so excited. So yeah, I'm a fan!
