What is funny is how some prefer to ignore the issue and play the ' Yeah, but the Republicans.... ' game, as if that changes one gorram thing in Ms McKinney's case. It does not.
I didn't do that, remember?
But you and your buddies did sure play the "See this is what all Liberals are like card!" didn't they.

Boortz: Rep. McKinney "looks like a ghetto slut"
On the March 31 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio program, Neal Boortz said that Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-GA) "looks like a ghetto slut." Boortz was commenting on a March 29 incident in which McKinney allegedly struck a police officer at a Capitol Hill security checkpoint. Boortz said that McKinney's "new hair-do" makes her look "like a ghetto slut," like "an explosion at a Brillo pad factory," like "Tina Turner peeing on an electric fence," and like "a shih tzu." McKinney is the first African-American woman elected to Congress from Georgia.

Ninety-nine percent of the people who throw charges of racism around can’t even define the term. Simply put – racism is the belief in the inherent, genetic superiority of one race over another, and the corresponding belief in the right of the superior race to dominate the inferior one. People often get racism mixed up with bigotry or prejudice."

This is the real reason DC copsters jacked up McKinney:

Another selective response, Auraptor.
I threw out something about republicans pretty early, but mine was in response to somebody specifically claiming corruption was a 'liberal trait.'
Your lack of context is misleading when you say that "some people want to change this post into what about the republicans," and your disingenuous statements suggesting that you don't care who commits the crime, are no longer going to be given the benefit of the doubt by me.
Plenty of liberals on this thread have already condemned her actions, and I'm close behind them in joining that bandwagon. Seems like it wouldn't be too much an act of faith on your part to throw some bone out there about Republican corruption...not because this thread is about It, but because all of your examples on this thread, EVEN those not related to Mckinney, are ones about liberals. The Rather thing? That's all you got? Mckinney and Rather? Really? It's been a slow year for corruption, I guess. Thank God we have Republicans in office.

McKinney had every right to KILL that cop, under lawful use of escalation of force and deadly force, for self defense and justifiable homicide. Every person has every right to KILL any copster, depending on the circumstances. This is a God-given, Constitutionally protected Natural RIGHT to life, as published in the Christian Bible, in the Jewish Torah, in the Islamic Koran, in the English Common Law, and is currently THE LAW in every state in USA today. MOSES KILLED A COP, THEN HE "WROTE" THE 10 COMMANDMENTS.
Quote:
And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren. And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.
-Exodus 2:11-12, Christian Bible, Torah, Koran
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come over Jordan into the land of Canaan; Then ye shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may flee thither, which killeth any person at unawares. And they shall be unto you cities for refuge from the avenger; that the manslayer die not, until he stand before the congregation in judgment. And of these cities which ye shall give six cities shall ye have for refuge.
-Numbers 35:9-13, Christian Bible
George Bush Jr, Dick Cheney, et al, MURDERED DOZENS OF COPS ON 9/11/2001, AND PERHAPS MURDERED 500 COPS IN NEW ORLEANS WHEN THEY BOMBED THE LEVEES. Jr Bush is the most successful cop-killer in US history. WTF is wrong with you sheeple?
Note that US Congress REWARDS US citizens for shooting US cops. History Channel makes TV documentaries about US citizens who shoot cops. Newspapers reward US citizens for shooting cops. It is lawful to shoot cops. It is lawful to make citizen's arrests of cops. It is lawful to send copsters to prison. It is lawful to send copsters to Death Row.
For those who worship copsters as gods, you're actually worshipping the Mafia:

Justice comes 20 years after jeweler's murder - Victim's daughters in court for conviction of 'Mafia cops'
CNN
April 7, 2006
NEW YORK (AP) -- In 1986, an unassuming jeweler named Israel Greenwald was secretly shot to death inside a Brooklyn garage and buried.
Twenty years later, his family celebrated justice at the conviction of two retired police detectives who had doubled as hit men for the mob.
The guilty verdicts Thursday for "Mafia cops" Louis Eppolito and Steven Caracappa closed perhaps the most astonishing police corruption case in the city's history.
The ex-detectives, who had been highly decorated and praised by their New York Police Department colleagues, were secretly on the payroll of Luchese underboss Anthony "Gaspipe" Casso starting in the mid 1980s.
The federal jury deliberated for two days in the case against Eppolito and Caracappa, who spent a combined 44 years on the force and once worked as partners. The pair were immediately jailed after the verdict and face up to life in prison.
Eppolito, 57, whose father was a member of the Gambino crime family, and Caracappa, 64, were respected detectives who moonlighted as hired killers for Casso between 1986 and 1990.
Casso, a remorseless mobster responsible for 36 slayings, reportedly tortured and killed Jimmy Hydell in September 1986.
The most shocking murder involved bad information provided by the detectives about another suspect in the Casso case. The tip led to the mistaken-identity murder of an innocent man killed as his mother washed the dishes following a Christmas Day family dinner.
In two of the slayings, they used their police credentials to make traffic stops that ended with the driver killed.

Prosecutors charged that the two used their positions as crime fighters to aid the mafia family -- at a price of $4,000 a month.

I remember that...that's why I lament this incident the most. She really did hurt the good cause she was representing by getting involved in this mess. Of course its that same grilling that makes me feel nervous about whether the headhunters have been out to get her. But I also know that's got a degree of partisan paranoia to it, and I don't say it authoritatively.

With Delay going to prison with Abramoff and Libby and Claude Allen, and many more feloneous White House staff and Congress critters, GOPsters need SOMETHING for the pathetic Republicon sheeple to rally behind. That cop will be lucky to not get indicted himself, for assault and official oppression. If McKinney were smart, she would testify to the grand jury by filing criminal charges against the cop. Or she can just go to a judge and swear out a warrant against the cop. Or she can make a citizen's arrest of the cop, using whatever force is necessary to bring him to a judge, including lethal force and justifiable homicide. I'm sure she has bodyguards who could do that, no problem.
But instead, she is making public admissions ("apologies"), trying to defuse the situation, which is a legal mistake. The cops have already apologized publicly to McKinney, which is a confession by the cops that the cop was in error. She should have SHUT UP, since her apology can be used against her in court. The cops that apologized can be subpoenaed to testify in McKinney's defense, if need be.
It's funny that RepubliCONs love Bush for killing 100s of cops. So RepubliCONs love killing cops. I guess GOPsters aren't so bad after all.
I only let the people I own use my title.

I agree with some of the stuff she has done in the past and also disagree with McKinney on other issues.
Thanks to the big mess in the middle east we've got to be extra careful on security matters. On this temper tantrum against a security person I think her reaction was a bit immature or OTT
We may not like it when these officers go by the book or get a little pushy, but sometimes that's their job and working security sometimes ain't so easy.
Maybe the officer in question wasn't being polite but I think McKinney should be made do security for a day to see what its like in the other people's shoes
