I think it's only weird if you imagine it's really a scent based on the TV show Firefly. Demeter also makes frangrances with names like Dirt, Ginger Ale, and Laundromat. They usually smell like they sound, but nice, if you can get your head around that.
That said, the only fragrance I've ever owned is a bottle of Batman cologne ("It Smells Like the Night- It Smells like Justice!"). The finest scent available at KayBee Toys.

Plus, the ad uses the word shiny and also the crushed autumn leaves remind me of the beginning of Objects in Space.
